Reaper Fire Giant - Opinions Pls

I was going to say a giant dwarf to go with all the dwarves you have but she is intended to be a fire giant. A good pic would be this one:

Red hair sounds like a good shout, anyone got a decent recipe that won't end up like a GW mohican dwarf..?

The way I've been doing it recently is deceptively simple.

Base coat: Scab red.
Next coat: Red Gore
Next coat: Blood Red (maybe I got this one confused with the last one)
Next coat: a dark orange.

Basicaly going along the top row of the mega paintset qwerty style. Sometimes a red & brown in mix can be used to add a little shading. I haven't worked out another way of doing ginger folk yet.

I could also see her working in a very different colour scheme (fair skin, fair hair, blues & silver scheme). Sort of a giant dwarven valkyrie.

Ok, I'll go with human skin, mixed metal armour and red hair. That way she's a giant dwarf fire giant valkyrie...or something - as long as it looks ok I'll be happy.

Reaper are a funny company, I don't buy much of their normal stuff but occasionally they come out with real gems - This one, the wereshark, cthulhu amongst others, I'd like the Dwarf paladin that Dagrin posted a little while ago too, it'll pop up on ebay eventually..

We all know I like their large dragons, and most of their demons. I really feel they missed the boat with that new large demon they made (the one with four arms and the tattered wings).

Anyway I dont want to take this off topic, I look forward to seeing this one painted. It might give me some ideas. I ordered the fire giant from otherworld to go with mine.

I got to look at this one close up.   If you are looking for a vote I would go with Fire Giant.  This another one that I need to pic up.  I know that there is a WIP on this one (http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28475&st=0&gopid=430561&#entry430561) but I never saw a finished model.

Reaper has allot of great stuff like this.  I am very much turned off by cartoony figs.

To me the first one looks more like a frost giant. It is too blue. Fire giants (in artwork :icon_wink: ) are darker. I guess I am being picky but I am not crazy about either of them.

Yeah, that's royal navy, not frost.
