They have guns, they have goggles, they are the gungogs.

Gungo 1: (things to do, tidy up that little drop of ink that got onto the metal banding on the barrel, do the edge of the base, maybe make the stitching on the gloves a lighter colour for contrast).

Gungo number 2: (things to do, do the cork thing on the side of the keg & a few rivets on the straps that I missed, do the edge of the base, pressure dials on his pack)

Gungog number 3: (things to do, end of the cigar, edge of the base, possibly some more shading and highlighting on the spanner, maybe make stitches on his leather arm bands lighter for contrast)

Unfortunately after the first few photo's the sun came out from behind the clouds and made the colours look a bit flatter than they really are :(. Those were three shade goggles (going from dark angels green through snot green up to goblin green) but with the sunlight you can only see the mid tone unless you look hard enough.  I'm sort of happy with the steam goggles (to stop steam getting in their eyes) being green but maybe another colour would've worked too.

Very nice Balgin, they look fine and cant think why you dislike the figures so much.  The goggles are a great feature  :icon_wink:

The gungogs are better than most of the Rackham dwarfs (they've actualy got moustaches and don't have such huge Pac Man heads as the others, they're still bloated giant footballs but nowhere near as bad as most of the rest). What pissed me off was their recent dwarf blister pack release. When you look at the catalogue two of them have moustaches and one doesn't. When you get them out of the pack you see that only one has a moustache (and they just painted one on one of them Groucho Marx style for the promo photo). You can also see that they blatantly did it with the recent dwarf character they released but with the engineers they did it actualy looks like they'd bothered to sculpt one on (but then you see the models and it;'s the same tash'less chav buzzard*s that need to be fudge*ing killed).

Thats very misleading of them.  They're rivalling GW for underhand tactics !!!  Didnt u sculpt a moustache on one b4?

still waiting on the rest of my Rackham figs to be delivered....

1? More like all of them exept the gunners mate :(. I've done at least seven or eight tashes for them now.

The skin tones are great as usual. I always hit a snag with male skin as I start to dark, and never use the highlight big enough, due to all the muscular structure. (Which is why i prefer painting females)

Using green for the goggles worked really well!

lol u have plenty of practice then  :icon_w00t:  From what I remember you made them look as if part of the sculp.  Take heart in the fact that yours look more complete than everyone elses  :icon_wink:

Nah, trust me, the ones I did for the standard bearer and one of the wizards really look like they're part of the sculpts :). Some of the others didn't come out very well.

is it easy to get milliputt or similar off of figs?  do dettol or nitromors etc remove it with the paint?  I've never tried removing it b4 but would be handy to know for future

shame you cant buy facial hair add ons.  a pack of beards and moustaches would come in handy for converting.  If they came in a foil bag and moist, you could pop them on and wait for them to dry  :icon_w00t:
