Hello, have just made a basic website for Dargrin, comments and feedback appreciated.  If theres things u think should be added please say and also comments on fonts etc.  Would the white font be better replaced as the same blue in the Dark Grin writing?  I am ok at style but not great  :icon_w00t:

Doesn't look like anything on there needs changing, it's a great site!

Although, the title of the page (in the <title> tags) is 'Banner' at the moment, is that intentional? It comes up on the browser button in windows.


As for the styling, I think it looks great but I had a play with some colour/font ideas for you and came up with http://planetazalea.co.uk/temp/darkgrin.gif, feel free to use or not use as you please :)

Its just a test site at the moment and when it goes live and on the right server I will do all the tags and stuff.  Its subject to change at the moment so I will go thru and check all that when its visually finished.  Thanks for pointing it out to me though  :icon_wink:

That font is a bit dark and hard to see, if it was brighter or in bold perhaps it would be better?  Also how did you get that blue text for the links?  so it changes colour as it goes down like the "Dark Grin"

I picked up the colour for the font from the word 'miniatures' in the logo but I reckon any of the colours in the minis beard would fit, and the lighter ones easier to read :) The blue, as you said, would work well too but I'd put that in the navigation so didn't use it in the text for that one.

I know how to grab the font colour for the text but where u have contact, gallery and about me as the light blue at top fading down to dark blue, I dont know how to do that.  I can only get 1 rigid colour as the font.  That link doesnt work for me now or I would swipe that image, cut out those links and paste them onto the page as images  :icon_w00t:

I did the nav as images in Photoshop, it's the only way to fix the font. I can upload the images separately for you if you want, or if you use Photoshop, you can have the psd file.

cheers anyway but I have just changed the font to that blue but rigid.  Cant be bothered to adjust anymore  :icon_w00t:  I will have a think and a play with the colour of the actual text portions but I think u are on the right lines with the "Miniatures" colour.  Looks much better now anyway thank you  :occasion14:

I have another one to do next week but if anyone wants help or one created from scratch just shout.  I will be pretty free until January so lots of time to fill.  I make each one search engine optimised as well so u should get decent rankings.

Yeah go for it, can you send me all the relevant pages and images or pop them in a zipped file for me to dload?  I dread touching the server they are on incase it falls over  :icon_w00t:  Has been better lately so things are on the up


Actually looking at it, theres not much I'd change mate.  Its all clear and placed nicely.  Think you've done a very similar job to what I would have done  :occasion14:

Looks pretty good to me too, not much I would change. I'll have a play with it though and send you what I get.
You should start a new post, ask people for ideas, there's lots of art/design talent on this forum - even if people want to send you sketched ideas, there're people like me & Perv who can convert to graphics for you.
