My kroot and gobos are on there. I also have 2000 points of orks but they are so badly painted I can't even show them. (6 colours)

I'm not into Kroot, but posting your project and getting feedback always seems to help me improve :)  Keep keeping us informed, eyeolas!

Cant make out much from the pics, I was looking at these Kroot and Tau in a WD today and they do appeal to me.  If I was to go 40k I always said it would be an Eldar army as I love the sculpts but these have made me think again.

Hope to see brighter versions of your pics so they persuade me more  :icon_w00t:  Maybe put fig on a piece of white paper against a wall so that some of the paper is going up the wall as a backdrop.  With decent light and no flash that should do the job mate

You are not wrong. I am thinking of going Chaos, just so I can justify buying the Forgeworld Chaos Dragon. I already have their bloodthirster and Warhammer Fire Dragon. Maybe Khorne? I could get a bunch of rad paint from that site Prev was talking about.

how I keep them ready for any battles






my master shaper, who I did for a competition (which is the only reason he is painted :P)



each squad must have a shaper so here they are









each one has a close up (I am still waiting for some banners, each one is supposed to have one)



I had to get a fair few kroot hounds for my list (there far too good for 6 points!)





I made some kroot trackers (which aren't in my list anymore 'cus they suck, but there cool models)




and I have done *some* painting

Each shaper there has a squad with him, and I still have to make a shaper and 1 basic kroot to finish another carnivore squad (I have 8 at the moment) and I have to make vulture kindred, which will be really fun and cool (kroot with wings!!!)


Orks:

a very small part of this post because I have already finished the army (but it looks horrible) and just decided willy nilly to use some of my spare parts one day and this came out of my head.





yes, 5 kommandos. They all now have bases and the one ontop of the bike has a marine backpack and shoulder pad, and will be painted prety much entirely red to look like a blood angel, and the two other orks below him will look like wheels, bike or ground to give the perfect illuion of a blood angel biker (sort of). The other two are more self explanitory. An ork in a bin and an ork in his shelter of tracks


Orcs and gobos:

I haven't done much with these yet as I want to do my kroot first but:







I have a fairly big collection already (all of which neads spray and paint, curse being 14 and not being able to buy spray without my parents being at the store!)

That is skull pass + 20 goblins I won in a speed painting compotition, an orc boss box which I wanted just to make and convert, 2 squig hoppers 'cus I love squigs to the end of time, a doom diver (just damn cool), 10 black orcs I got at the white dwarf 30th anaversary, and a pump waggon now also.

That post answered my question. Plenty of good conversion with plenty of variation in there.

The first pics are blury, yes, but I do know now how to hold a camera steady (I have seriously unsteady hands) and got some of the later pics (painted kroot and kommandos espeshaly) prety good. I will do the white back drop for any new pics from now on though, as it does help alot.

EDIT: just so you know (incase you want to do kroot due to the superb example of how an army should be done *cough cough* I use the kroot mercenaries list on the GW site (http://uk.games-workshop.com/tau/kroot%2Dmercenaries/). You can also use the great knarlocks from FW which are prety similar to dragons, just, more bird like minus the wings <_< >_>

I have terribly shakey hands when taking photos, too, but I find my pics are much better, if I can put the camera on something to take the pic, or if I can hold the camera in both hands and prop my elbows on something while taking pics.  Hope that helps :)

I don't know if you're using macro mode on your camera (if you have such a setting - on my camera it looks like a little tulip) and the auto-focus, where you half-press the button, to let it focus, before taking it properly.  It looks like you're using at least one of these (or you're just naturally a better photographer than me! :))

My camera has it. I don't know how to turn it off though :icon_scratch:. So yes, I have and use it. Ya, I found out not touching the camera when taking the picture really helps me :P And I found a way of raising the camera so I can do more than just eye-eye shots

Terribly unclear of me - macro mode is usually better on for taking photos of minis - sounds like you're doing better than me, then :D
