Dwarfs going on eBay this week...

Assorted dwarfs due to go onto eBay this week, willing to separate them to CH members if anyone wants individuals. Perv, if you can PM me with rough ideas on rarity, etc, I'd appreciate the help!

The town crier with the bell is very common. I have 3 (I think I even managed to get 2 of those in the same blister pack).

They will be lead i think due to there age, 80's i think and should go for good money.

That boxed set is from the  old Regiments of Renown series (second issue iirc),Mike, and are all metal. Original slottas and shields are in there, too. 19 minis in the set including command group.

I've got those. Pitty it's a unit of 19. How many of the unit have you actualy got? I'm sure yours, plus my 19, would make for a nicely sized unit. Not sure what I'd do with the extra standard bearer (but the musician's really nice). They're a great unit and I definately would be interested (I did such a bad paint job on the originals that I've been meaning to repaint them for years). It would be nice to copy the official colour scheme but I don't fancy the freehand on the shields (with the new basing paints it'll suddenly be so much easier to paint the red :)).

They are one heavily equiped infantry unit. Standard gear is heavy armour, a shield, a hand weapon, two pistols and two daggers (stuffed into each boot)!

Shame they won't be quite legal in Warhammer any more (you won't be able to use the pistols or daggers but they're still pretty nice models even if there are only about 3 or 4 different sculpts plus the command group). One of the classic Citadel drunk dwarfs was wearing this unit's uniform & kit. I have him so he might have to make up an extra (20th) member just to even up the ranks.

Those were the first Dwarfs I bought back in 1988 think it was.  I used the command from these plus command from Skarlocs Woodelf Archers as part of my English Literature GCSE, they were the characters that went along with the story.  Poxy teacher lost the Elves but I did get my Dwarfs back after a lot of asking.

Have all those Dwarfies though.  Its a difficult one whether to list them seperately or in bunches.  Theres a few common and a few hard to find ones but nothing really rare.  Villagers always sell so if doing in bunches dont do all villagers together, put 1 in each bunch.  People are happy bidding on bunches of figs even if they just want 1 from the lot.  If you sell individually you have more listing costs and some will sell others wont.  The price people are paying for normal figs is ridiculous at the moment so it may pay to do individually and just getting 2 dumb people bidding on one figure will mean the others can sell for £1 each and you will still be happy.  The standard bearer at bottom right is the one I saw for £18 and it had a day or so left, get that on as quick as poss and hope those idiots are still watching Ebay mate.  its not worth anymore than £1 but you may be shocked what you get for it !!!

@ Perv - that's pretty much what I'd intended to do. Glad I checked here,first - hadn't registered that the foot & mounted Gimli were a set. Interested to know which ones are seeming to fetch good prices - will try and juggle groups around to get the best mix of "must-buys".

that mounted and foot versions together went for £16 in the end.  I picked up seperate foot version for 99p and the mounted went for £6.20 so definately pop them on together

Ebay has 4 or 5 new Dwarf bidders and over last few weeks silly bids are going in every day, not just the odd one.  Definately a sellers market at the moment
