Golden Fertility Idol

1:1 scale, a full size replica of the primitve gold idol seen in the classic opening scenes of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Commissioned by a private collector. I'm a huge fan of the movie myself, so it was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to build a version of this . Carved from urethane foam, then fibreglassed, with surface details sculpted in epoxy putty.

Incidentally, that's a baby's face and hands poking out between the legs ... just in case anyone was wondering... :-)
