I've been doodling again. She's not finished yet because I haven't decided what she's going to be wearing (and it won't be nothing :p, I'll come up with something eventualy). She currently doesn't have a name or anything yet but I'm interested in finding out what sort of an impression she's making on people (and suggestions regdring clothes are more than welcome as the clothing's had her stuck up against an artist's block for weeks now - and I originaly did the basic sketch about five or six years ago and only recently dedicated time to seriously finishing her off).

She was originaly a photo in some crud*py fashion magazine that caught my eye in 200-2001. I did a quick sketch and then recently did a lot more but got stuck on the clothes I'd like her to have (blowing up one of those tiny magazine photo's to a4 size was great fun but it also means I couldn't see much of the clothes).

She reminds me of that ninja assassin in Sin City.  Dont remember the name :)

Very nicely done.   How old is she supposed to be? late teens sorta thing?

Never seen it.

Early to mid twenties, but looking younger :p.

Any siggestions on clothing? Once I've decided what she'll be wearing then I'll be able to finish it.

She's got a really interesting, stern or slightly sad expression on her face, every time I look at i think she looks like a police desk sergeant...not sure why that keeps popping into my head.

She looks great so far

Any updates Balgin?

Erm, yeah. Nobody's giving me any suggestions for the kind of clothes she's wearing and I think people are ignoring this thread.

Someone elsewhere suggested an oriental style dress and I admitted that I had been considering one of those tight low oriental collars but I'm undecided at the moment.

Bungle

Not ignoreing it... just don't have any suggestions.

I thought she had one of those single sided strap things on.

A high collar oriental type dress with no arms might look good too.

Tiacapan

Oriental is good, I still think you should make her a cop though :)

I think the oriental dress sounds about right. I also like the cop idea though. What do you think of combining them?

I prefer the cop thing. She looks modern somehow, not high fantasy so i'd like some clear modern clothes. And the oriental thing will make her dreamy more, if that makes sence. I like the earthly look in her. She's not the standard skinny photomodel 100 in a dozen chick... and I think she looks prettier due to it. The expression is great, be it a little sad.

Same here. I'm still considering a generic broached cloak over some lose fitting top but the side buttoned oriental top sounds good too.

I suppose that depends on your definition of skinny. There is an original photo, I liked it, and drew my version of it (which differs in very small minor ways - but I'm not some Todd Goldman wanker bloke as I did this for my own personal pleasure and aren't trying to pass it off as an original image in any way).

Quoteand I think she looks prettier due to it. The expression is great, be it a little sad.

I think the sandess came more from my drawing than the original picture (although there's a little bit in the photo too). It wasn't intentional but I think she's pretty.
