Alf was making one for me Indeed and it can be finished very shortly. Just waiting for a reply to my last PM And making an army of them might be fun but since I sell it AND the concept it would be kind of like IP theft from CustomHobby so that would really be up to him.

I am sure you and I can work something out with that Alf. It might be fun to see an army of them. I will get back to you on that Pm shortly We might be able to work the dwarves into the deal we are working on. I will discuss that in the PM though.

sounds good Messiahs, the idea of lots of races rather than a whole has inspired an alteration in my planning essentially similar to the Borg or Cybermen they're a hive army that started as an arcane conciousness that went on to engulf races of all types and amalgamate them into one army, forcing them to graft and alter each other to fill gaps in natural design they're now seen as a terrifying plague that has thankfully not been seen in years (possibly a great migration away, possibly a concerted effort to drive them back, i dunno, it can be worked into over fluff)

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I really wasn't too sure about doing a cult force, seemed a bit too similar to other available mini's. Then the idea of multiple races and cultures stumbled into my alcohol addled mind and it gelled really well. I like your idea too Matt, imagine a bunch of surgically altered/arcanely modified nutters rampaging through the civilised world...ounds like a good reason to take up arms and repel them. Always a good basis for a small war

indeed, i quite like the idea that they were hammered back centuries ago and the free peoples thought themself safe and so they were forgotten in all but mythology but now they're back, and they're more virulant than before

I took the liberty of mentioning this over at IMPACT! miniatures as well since I figured that with separate arms making fantasy footballversions of our armies as well would just be a matter of adding the right pair of arms. Here's the mention: http://artistsunited.myfreeforum.org/sutra15526.php#15526

Hey... I'm completely new here!
Anyway, this looks a really cool kind of thing. I'm not sure if I'm a good enough sculptor to take part but I'd love to give it a go! I sculpt a lot, and a lot of it is for stories or races etc that I write myself. So I have enough in the way of ideas...
Advice? Here's what I've 'narrowed' down to:
'Eagle people' (Humanesque bodies but with wings eagle heads and eagle talons) Command - Eagle Lord Troops - Eaglefolk spearman or bowman or greatsword warrior Elites - Condor-based variety Special - Griffon beast? -----Thought these up after reading this topic
Shrebs (i.e. tribal orang utans) Command - Shreb Chieftain Troops - archer + spearman Elite - Shreb Hunters (ranger-type) Special - Golems (There's a long backstory there, but the shrebs are 'allied' with huge stone creatures called golems) -----The shrebs have many other units and characters and golems, but for this project they could represent a team separate from the main part of shreb society...
Felini (How centaurs are horse and man, Felini are big-cat and man) Command - Trahili or generic huntress-leader Troops - spears -or- basic crossbows Elite - again, Hunters, possibly swift panther-type stealth-experts Special - unsure :/ possibly a tamer with vark pack... vark being like vicious aardvark/wolf creatures
PS need I worry about un-trademarked names being usurped if I post them here?

You need not worry about Felini Much as he IS my favourite director I think the name DOES sound a bit "cheap" and silly Might I humbly suggest a namechange? Great ideas though. And welcome!! Incidentally I have discovered the drawbacks with my little material experiment... It crumbles so thin details might not be up for much in the casting process.

Hehe... it was an 'ages ago' name. Basically changing a letter of 'feline', I dunno why I expected it to be original -_-
I meant names wot I av made up... that I actually ..did. o.O
A lt of the stuff that's in stuff I write I actually made up when started writing - when I was like, 12... So I'm goin through, changing stuff all the time. aside form that, any suggestion which to do?

I say there can never be to many orangutans (but the I'm a Pratchett fan ) It's also the least used of the concepts. Feline centaurs. I know of at least one sculpt on that theme. Eagle men, well at least winged men, there are plenty of (and wings is NOT what you want to do- they're a pest to sculpt) Even if eagle men with eagles heads are scarce unless you count the horus line from Wargods of aaegyptus (but they lack wings) But tribal orangutans sounds really fun. Could lead to loads of interesting poses as I believe they'd use their arms as much as their legs for moving about.

i do like these tribal orangutans certainly never been a fan of centaurs, that right angled joint looks silly imo the eagle men sound like fun and essentially it's upto you
working with the fluff of my force (assimalating beetle creatures) golems would be a good idea (can't be assimilated)

Tribal orangs.... with Wookie/librarian clothes?
maybe posed so firearms can be used?
you'll get 40k fans buying them for Jokaros.....
If they were 15mm I'd want to snap them out of your hands.
