Having trouble finding a good priming time too, too wet and windy at the moment here.  Cant see today being any good either so will hope for tomorrow.....

You're not wrong,Wristy. When Airfix was relaunched a few years back the new owners inherited all the old moulds and didn't invest anything in retooling - so Airfix stuff is produced from tools that are,roughly, decades old and more than a little gappy...so say the least. :/

Heres my Orc all primed and based.  Never done a proper base on a fig so this will be funny.  I made some milliputt up to fill in gaps of base and made a couple of rocks whilst I was there.  Will use a bit of flocking too on this so watch out I'm going to town !!!

OK, my Andrea Miniatures' Sharpe...54mm...

I know...lighting...but meh...I didn't try very hard for it since it's just a premlim photo.
I added a little more hair to the piece since it REALLY did not look like Sean Bean at all, adding a little more hair worked a little in my favour although I still think he's more Harrison Ford around the mouth.
It's currently in three bits, the helmet, the figure and the base since getting into the his foot would be tricky when it comes to painting it.

yet to prime mine. my model is in 5 bits ( head, body, arms and base) plus all the accessories have been left off for the time being.

the weather has been really bad over here, so still no good time to prime.  :icon_neutral:  mostly i am doing this to pass the time  :icon_beer:

Think i will change to the one i have been saving till i'm better at painting, as it's a better quality figure and i don't have to muck about with putty to fill all the gaps.

Think it's by the same people as Paint's 54mm figure.

I'm starting to really love Andrea miniatures. I've got the Indiana Jones, Neo and Terminator ones. Really great casts, even if I could have done a better paint job on them.
