Some Darkworld minis I've working on.........

Now please bear in mind that these are in for the no way the best minis in the world, but age they are and the fact they are plastics by a non mini company, I was pleasently surprised how good they are.

They are from the old game called Darkworld made by Waddingtons, and each hero has the option to swap the normal weapon for a 'gold' one, literally, the weapons do come out their hands. You can see the different weapons from the all together pic to the other two pics.

I'm particulary (sp?) proud of how the Dwarf has turned out, and a bit 'Meh' with the Barbarian and Knight, but for gaming purposes they will do.
I'm hoping to get more of the game done, starting with the Heros from the 3rd expansion.

Those are fantastic!  Characterful sculpts, and very colorful paint jobs!

The weapons are unrealistic. No warrior would use a gold weapon.

I have all of those too and a few of them crud*ply painted, it was before i joined the FOD.  :icon_suspicious:

They are a collection of figure's from three different game's.
Hero quest, Darkworld and another one...  :icon_scratch:

The screamer figure is not a bad looking figure very Scream looking face but was pitty useless in the game, never killed anything.  :icon_ermm:

I see what you mean Fabian, gold is about the softest metal around, so is pretty useless as weapons, BUT, these are magical gold weapons, and are dead 'ard!!!! Hee Hee!!!!
The idea of the gold weapons is when you find them in the chests you can roll more attack dice, making the game easier, or so.

To be honest I'm having a blast painting these up, they really seem to suit my old school style of painting.

Mr Bungle, you wouldn't happen to have the Katana gold weapon in your collection would you, as when I bought my copy off Ebay, it was missing.
I be super grateful if you had it and would part with it for a price?

I also have the Heroquest game and expansions, which we still play alot, and now have turned to Darkworld for more one nighter games, the only thing is I have the main game Darkworld itself, and the 3rd game Darkworld Village of Fear, all I really need now is the Darkworld Dragons gate, if anyone had it and didn't want it anymore...........hint hint..........I know you guys have stuff hoarded away...... :icon_razz:
