This is the original Deeping Wall diorama we made. It is 34 inches long, has 312 figures (including 72 dead uruks), and took approximately 120-140 hours of work to create. Built in a last-minute rush, in a moment of creative insanity for a model display, just to see if it could be done in time. ... Certainly won't be doing that again in a hurry :-) Special thanks to Karen Le Roy & Brett Sutcliffe for lending a hand with things as time got tight. Cheers guys :-)

After the original diorama the wall sections and heroes/defenders of the original (and temporary) model were long gone, most of the orcs were just lying about in a box, waiting for something to be done with them. So...time to build another wall! But a bit smaller this time, and more faithful to the one seen in the movie. This newer version had 130 figures swarming all over it, is 22 inches long, 12 inches deep, and had 7 inch high walls. The wall itself has a slight curve, as in the movie, and shows Saruman's bombs being placed in the drain by orc engineers, and the beserker running towards them with a lit torch in hand...

This piece was auctioned on Ebay a few years ago.

I have more pictures of this one if you want to see them  icon_wink
