I'm trying to work out if the best way to raise the value of our lovely currency is to spend money with home grown businesses (to keep them in business) or to spend it with foreign companies (thus giving themthe paranoid impression that I know something they don't and the confidence makes them think our money's worth something again).

Personaly I blame evil scrupulous nasty people for ruining the economy.

And I'm not just talking about how naff many of the recent coin designs have been.

I have to agree with you, Medved.  I've been put off the prices of European manufacturers for about two or three months now.

Only a few weeks? I've found the prices of foreign miniatures to be looking very high for the last few years now.

I think we're just in different financial positions, Balgin.  The price of the pound against the dollar didn't stop me spending  :dollar: 70+ on reaper minis in Miami last week ;)

I even managed to get them past the wife without too much trouble, as a picked up an expansion to Carcassone, which we play together, at the same time! :D
