Female Sci Fi Sniper

A quick job on a female sniper for a mates Dark Heresy character. He bought the miniature from e-bay (not sure who makes it) as he liked it (i don't) and i painted it as our GM gives xp for providing painted miniatures  :icon_wink:

If I'm being super-critical, the green seems a bit flat to me and could do with another shade or another highlight and the same with the weapon, or perhaps a bit of alternate coloured detail on the gun might help.

What is that supposed to be by the way? I hope its made mostly of foam of she will be getting a bad back!

The weapon is heavy i reckon but have you seen her biceps!

The green's OK to me.

The miniature is a Syntha Marine from I-Kore's Void 1.1 range.  It is a Kev White sculpt as well  :icon_wink:.

Co-incidentally I saw one of these minis a couple of weeks ago at the club and I completely forgot to post.  The front is mostly just that weapon and even holding it in my hands I couldn't figure out for the life of me what sort of weapon it was supposed to be! :)

The weapon is an anti armour sniper rifle (a bit like the Barrat that the US use).  It is a large bore sniper rifle that uses large calibre, armour piercing bullets that have enough charge to make them accurate over a huge distance.  They are capable of going through an engine block so if you want to guarantee an anti personnel kill...use one of these because if you hit someone in the hand, it'll take their arm off!
