you know a friend of mine experimented with a very deep metalic black as the cooled rock, its worth looking into keeper.

also i think the yellow is looking a bit chalky in the pic so you might want to try thinner layers of paint or a bit of gloss med .

not sure why that is as all the yellow is ink.
A lot of drybrushing on this and i think it's led to it being a bit untidy overall, i'll know better for next time.

Thanks Hawkmoon, I might give that a go.  I was inspired by Al, so on Friday evening I assembled and undercoated my Lava Rock Monster :icon_smile:  Hopefully it won't be too long before it gets a proper coat of paint, now!

Yeah - finished painting mine, except he needs a touch of white deep in his mouth.  I hope to have him based and photographed later this week.

@Hawkins: I didn't go for the metallic bits in the end.  I was going to, but by the time I'd finished the black, I really like the look of him without it! :)
