What's really not very good on second thought is that the firearms seem to be absolutely, hopelessly useless. The only use for his bolt rifle throughout seems to be to "stun and disorient" the enemies - surely blowing them to pieces would be more useful?

Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing.  But then I know when I play wargames I tend towards ranged combat more natually, so i thought it was just me.

Their explanation made sense in terms of what they're trying to acheive, but not really in terms of the universe they're trying to portray.

  I noticed it too.  A Bolt Pistol fires a round between 15 and 20 mm with rocket propulsion and an exposive head.  I will reseve judgement for 2 reasons.

1) OMFG IS IT AWESOME !!!!!!!!!


2) Its an early beta-still a long way to go before its done.
