Ok ... dunno if this should be in the WIP section or not.

A new figure to go in my sci fi post Apoc  range....












and the scale



1/100 or 15mm to 18mm.

I like him, the "Aviator" with a tatty coat and trousers in rags.. great for a space port bum, an unkempt space freighter pilot, or a post apocalypse survivor.

What do the rest of you think....?

Looks good.  :D

There goggles like a bit off, but I can't put my finger on what it is - it could be its just in the green. Can anyone else tell me what I can't articulate?

Very good especially as in 15mm or Ant-like as I prefer to call it.  The goggles do look a bit weird in the middle pic but look fine on the other 2

It might be the pic, but one side looks hollow as if there were no glass in it. It is only in the head on shot as perv suggested.

The one hollow goggle.I've seen it but haven't yet collected the guts to fill it out as it is so tiny I'm afraid of ruining it. But I will get to it.
Magnifyer helps with sculpting in this scale.
And may I say it's a relief working in this scale. Quick working time (four and a half hours for this. Started it Monday evening, finished it tuesday evening. It works out at a MUCH better hourly wage than 28 mm does) and not enough space for TO much fiddly detailing works wonders for my latent prestation anxiety.This is just pure fun, no hazzle. Feels like a real turning point.
There will be many more to come.

I thought it was empty on one side and a lense from a pair of glasses put in the other. True post apoc ingenuity

I see your point though, proper complete flying goggles may cast better and be easier to paint.

I am looking forward to seeing some more.

I've got a good eye for greens (at least I think so). :icon_wink:

Great job on the mini mini bodhi. He does looks very good. Especially for your first shot at that scale. The thing about it that is great is that you are already a good sculptor at 28-30mm, so imagine how much your skills and confidence will grow once you have mastered a smaller scale. I see nothing but positives coming from this.

The big surprise was this: Smaller scale is EASIER. A lot. It's just a matter of magnification really. Main reason is: Smaller areas to smooth, less need for detail in anatomy and foldlines.
