Plans where to have it finished this week but they're sending me bases (cavallry size) and a Donella by Sandra Garrity to compare with and this will of course delay things due to postage time from USA. I can't start on the backpart of the body until I've received the base and size comparison package.

I've been asking a fellow parent at my youngest sons kindergarten to help me out with tips and advice (he's a professional photographer) just got to find the time to sit down with that.

try using a curved piece of paper as a background, try a mid-grey. then just do an auto adjust to bring out the contrast...

Yeah, well it's funny that. I have the patience to work an hour on a single eye but I don't have the patience to find a paper to use as a background  :shrug: I really have VERY little patience when it comes to photography. I pull the camera out as if I was afraid of it and try to get it over with as quickly as at all possible...
I brought my camera with me to Malta and ended up not even unpacking it  :D
So I guess that's my real problem. I have to learn to LIKE taking pictures.

Great news mate.... one day ill have to find some of your minis and collect some! That would be really cool.

One day there'll be some to collect. Only ones in production so far are a bunch of football (soccer) players by A&A miniatures ("World of soccer" they call it) but they have been completely quiet for at least a year now (no updates to their homepage no nothing) so I suspect they've vanished somehow and only the homepage remains.
Then I have a couple that have been handed in for Crunch waffle, and a few they're waiting for. Neither have yet gone into production. And then I have about fourteen different figures that I have not yet delivered. Everything is progressing at a slow and steady pace though and they'll probably all be finished more or less around the same time. So then we should have a small outburst of figs.

Oh and two of my earliest sculpts where sold and fully payed for but both the customer and the figures... disappeared. Haven't heard anything in four years. Well I got the payment without hassle anyway so...

But I'm still very much a beginner in the business and commsions part of this. Things are slowly starting to roll though and this is great advertisement for me of course. I saw they had posted the same text on coolminiornot as well. Good for me to be seen with name and all on such sites.

She's looking great and I can't wait to see it finished.

Carboard box, remove one wall, line with paper inside and spray with gray paint and you have a simple lightbox.
Just spraying the inside gray without any paper might work OK as well.

She's up on TMP, Coolminornot and Frothers (though I'm guilty of that...) and has received most overwhelming responses everywhere. Even comments in the style of "One of the best "Naga" type minis I have ever seen"  I must say I'm baffled but also very very pleased  :icon_mrgreen:

Yep you've done well there Bodhi.  The top pic of her shows how much character she has in her face.  Glad u got the job and hope it opens a few doors for ya  :clap2:
