Sithrak doesn't hear much in the mind of the child, mostly just 'WTF is going on, I'm tired, I don'tlike big nasty men' etc, but in a more childlike manner. When you try the old man however, you manage to hear nothing, as if there was a protective field stopping you.
As the two run foreward, the man slows down as he spots you, turns to see the guards, and continues running towards you. He reaches Six's feat and starts to grovel "Please save us, I know there much hatred in you, and I can help you with that, but you must save us from the guards!" The kid runs into a small allyway just beside the prisson and curls up in the dead end.
The guards in full persuit stop about ten to fifteen foot away from you with their weapons drawn. One steps foreward, showing a small blue stripedown his armour, which you think signifies a higher rank in the Crimson guard. He speaks, "What is this old man, you couldn't face your fait so you free these prissoners and trick them to fight for you! Prissoners, don't listen to this fool, he has broken the law and must be arrested. We will then sort out what to do with you."
