Right get this bit out of the way first, bit of black on the metals and a little rust to give them a bit of a neglect look and some tarnish on the hilt and bottom bit of the sword, that green\blue colour that builds up and silver on the sword edge but not in the chip of the blade.
Maybe a purple glaze to give the baby a bruised look as it would have one with the spear driven through it and a small amount of blood on the sword blade as he wouldn't get the baby without a fight.

This is a great looking sculpt and the base works well with it, nice scummy water effect there.
The green looks good and the hair look dirty, greasy and life less which is what you want with this figure
Any chance of a better face on pic.

Ugh.. nice paintjob making a fairly ghoulish mini, even more ghoulish..

Top work gi6ers, but the mini grosses me out!  :icon_wink:
Funny isnt it how naughty dentists always make their one fatal mistake.

Nice stuff gi6ers, (I thought I had commented on this on another site, but can't remember)

It has your 'style' dark and grungy, with cool metallics.

I know you were asking on how to improve recently and I would say you just need to be a bit less 'sloppy' (that sounds harsher than it implys)

Some parts just look like you have washed over them or inked. (The arms IMO) Just looks like you have thought 'to hell with it' and done it mega fast.

Hope this helps!

Oh well, the skin took the longest to be honest, at least 5 colours on the skin...this one doesn't photo well IMO.

I'm working on the rest, thanks for the feedback.

I was feeling I had killed this with my first post...  :icon_neutral:

No, I think babies on spikes put some people off somehow...

Custom_Hobby

I know some people are touchy about things... but its just a mini.

I'm sure there would be issues if it was life size but that would be terrain or LARP accessories.  :icon_cool:

now thats my kind of mini! great stuff there my friend.

loving the blood (suprise suprise) and the base
very nice skin too. :clap2:

as for improvements well the green could do with the highlights bringing up another level.
the black on the hair just looks grey (if it's supposed to be grey then the top needs highlighting more)

STOP drybrushing! very noticeable on the blade edge.
i'd really reccomend painting your highlights on and using controlled washes to shade it.
one thing i think would really help this would be some weathering on the metals
i know its a cliche but
"KILL!, MAIM!, BURN!"

Thanks mate, yeah the curse of the metallics strikes again, I think I'm lazy when it comes to them..

Very chilling !!!  Not a fan of the baby on spear myself but it is different.  Slightly more highlighting on the sword blade would help it stand out a bit but I love the gold\red handle  :clap2:
