Where's David?
« on: January 28, 2007, 07:32:28 PM »

Hey, guys!
I haven't been posting much over the past few days, I've had lots going on...
Firstly, I have some legal issues going on at home...  a contractor cheated a whole lot of money out of us, so we're dealing with that.
Secondly, I've been on a quest to find a new host for cheddarmongers.org and my family website, so I've been experimenting with moving my site onto a different server to make sure I can bring it back up without losing anything.
Also, my wife and I have been remodeling a bit, so we've been scrud*ing and plastering and painting.  Ah, the joys of home ownership!  Plus I had to do some plumming and electrical repairs.
So, its been a busy weekend.
Carry on!  Looks like lots of fun stuff is going on.
Special regards to Wristy -- it is really neat that you're working on a cheddar mouse.  What a friend!  If you ever want to go ice fishing, we have a lake in our backyard:

Hope all is well with the little one!

WHEN it freezes over?  The neighborhood kids were playing hockey on it on Christmas!  This morning it was zero degrees F outside when I left for work.

I'm getting a new patio and a deck built.  The contractors had to tear out the grossly deficient work that the previous contractor did (before he ran off with my $43,000), but they had to unfreeze the ground in order to dig it out, and to dig holes for the deck footings; the deck will require eight footings, each greater than 42 inches deep.

So...  the repairs are costly, but it will be worth it!  Its a beautiful piece of property!  Unfortunately, it won't be done in time for my birthday.

Dibs, I had it first!

No worries, my wife said that we can have her birthday in May.  By then, we'll be able to enjoy our incredible hillside retreat!

Ok, I do have to give it to you on that point. We can still share.

Good luck with the new contractors, and sue the life out of the old ones. Post pictures so we can all be jealous once they finish it.
