the cages are aluminium, steel's a)too heavy and b)causes electrical/saltwit*er problems. There's talk of doing a cage dive in a lexan tube at some point.....

I absolutely LOVED Bioshock.


  The game looks amazing, its art deco styling is consistant and eerie,  and the sound is bloody amazing.  For those of us who LOVED System Shock 2, this is the game we waited 10 years for. 


  The storyline is simple.  In the 1930s, a recent immigrant to the US got sick and tired of what he felt were mankinds two great chains that held back its ascendency into something glorious :The State (Fascist or Communist or even remotely socialist) and Religions.  So, after making millions and feeling more and more disgusted, he decided he would build the ultimate city-a heaven for those who felt a true Free Market Economy would sponsor growth- and called it Rapture.
  It was buillt underwater so as out of the territorial control of anyone.  Yes-this is an Ayn Rand circle jerk. Yes...of course it failed in a spectacular way.
   Just as planned, society advanced at a breakneck pace.  Within 30 years, gene therapy was being sold in kiosks and it was felt a moral imperitive to improve apon natures clumsy form
  Of course, you advance enough as individuals, you cease to see yourself as part of the rest of humanity-your moral centre moves with you and if being superior is survival then how can order be maintained in such a place?

   Add to that is the fact smugglers began importing "parasitic" ideas-religion and worker solidarity along with booze and firearms and you have a city that ceases to be inhabitable. 

Your character survives a plane crash and finds himself entering "Rapture".  The city is MOSTLY abandoned-filled with the humans who spliced their genes so much that maddness occured (called Splicers), robotic defences(with hilarious 2 stroke smoke belching engines) and a disturbing creature called a "little sister" (a child modified to harvest an enzyme from corpses) and her symbiotic guardian-the "big daddy"


  This is not just a simple shoot em up.  You are stuck with moral dillemmas, you modify and upgrade your character to do different things, a mini game is used to allow for you to "hack" computer systems, weapons are upgradable and it really will make you jump in some places.




Oh.  and RTS's on Xbox 360 are garbage.  I love them fanatically on my PC but Command and Conquer turned out to not even be worth the rental. There is ABSOLUTELY NO new functionality in the game and the units are so standard that you dream of a return to the little jokes in Warcraft 3 (where clicking on a unit too often brought threats or humourous comments). 
  The control interface is problematic (but not the fault of the Xbox) as it is on all console systems-its just FARRRRRR easier to get proper functionality out of a mouse and the in game videos havent advanced since Tyberian Sun.   Where the hell is DoW for Xbox?  At least that game had some gameplay changes

to day I was playing Halo 3 and thinking how dull the game is when I got to thinking of Red Faction and Red Faction II on the PS2.

so I had a look at all my 360 games and I got to thinking what was missing what would make a cool game on the X Box 360 and it hit me.

Red Faction and Red Faction II both of thees games wear and are still cool because you got to the destroy the game environment say there was a door that was shut and locked on you then all you had to do is destroy the wall around one side of the door to get past it.

or say there was a bad guy that was on the Flor above you and you had grenades all you had to do is throw them up and if you did not kill him with the grenades you took out the Flore he was on killing him in the fall lol.

other things missing from all the new game on the 630 is gore like in the PS2 game soldier of fortune gold edition where you could shoot of body parts like the legs and arms and the head and you got a tun of GORE but it was still a fun game.

I absolutely loved Halo 3 single player.  A wonderful story, great graphics and an amazing cinimatic score.


Facial animations were clumsy...and multiplayer is beyond me.  Who pays to have 12 year olds swear at you and your mother nonstop for hours?
