DarkSword Miniatures 5th Anniversary Special Deal

[Custom_Hobby]

If you don't want the book I will take it.

Ooh, if Balgy got the package, that means he's in on the hawkman challenge!  And maybe even the Ploogak paintoff!!

[cheddarmonger]

My package arrived today.  Amazing deal, and beautiful miniatures!  I have a few duplicates now, notably the Ploogaks, and I believe I have one or two of the amazons already.  The book is awesome; it is actually an RPG supplement.  Haven't popped open the cards yet.

Highly recommended!

By the way; their casting looks absolutely first rate, some of the best quality pewter I've ever seen.

The only problem with the Dark Sword mini's is that they're so beautiful I never get round to painting any of them :(.

Hello --

I recently ordered the 5th Anniversary Special, and it already arrived safe and sound in Eagan.  Thanks so much for your quick response!

The miniatures are wonderful.  I am amazed by the quality of your casting.
I have lots of miniatures, and your casting quality is among the best.

I'm sure that my only quibbles with your line are your artistic decisions; I don't like integral bases, and your figures are just too perfectly proportioned, I kind of prefer the cartoony look, but I'm sure I'll get over it after painting a few of these.  They seem to transcend the gaming genre and sort themselves neatly into the world of fantasy art.

Out of curiosity; do you have a shop or showroom?

Ps -- any plans to add Sorayama, or Bell, Valejo, or Royo?

Cheers,
-- David

And Jim responded:

Hi David!

Thanks for the kind words. I almost tried to contact you to simply meet at the Mall of America over lunch or something to hand deliver them to you.

I send everyone to the Source or Phoenix Games for Dark Sword stuff. They both stock the entire line.

I even have our two new Dragons at The Source (just display copies for people to check out).

Some people dig cartoony, some dig the realistic. I dig em all. I collect GW, Rackham, Thunderbolt, Croc, Mag Egos, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, etc...

No plans to add other artists just yet. Once we exhaust the source artwork of who we are working with, then we will check it out.

Thanks again and send pics once you get some painted up.

Cheers,

Jim
