WIP sculpts. Agentmolar has the green stuff bug

Ok, this is a couple of WIPs, (becasue i never finish any of my projects, i want to keep going as hard as i can with these. Any tips on how these are going and how to get better.

Ive been filing the undead spaceman guy, but i think if i used more of a brownstuff/greenstuff mix like Kev White it might file or sand better.

Also my hillbilly is coming along, but i need to work out how to keep going on him.
Redkneck Hillbilly, hes meant to be wearing loose jeans, and suspenders with a t shirt.





Skeleton spaceman, with pulp/retro space outfit, with a hasslefree shotgun.



Ive started to tidy him up with a blade and files



I know its basic, but this is my first real attempt at a serious sculpt. Also feel free to fling poo at me, since I tend to bash sculpts quite heavily!

I quite like 'em :)  What happened to the braces?  Is he wearing them over or under his tee?  I can't really figure out what is going on there, except that he is proportioned rather like me.  I assume that is intentional?

Skeleton is looking better now he's got more of a spacesuit on and I can see what is happening with his knee.

The suspenders are over the tshirt. I just havent finished them on the back yet

Ah, OK.  That makes a lot more sense.  Looks like you're getting towards what you're trying to acheive, AM :)

I've had problems accesing the site for over a week now. The hillbilly looks smooth and well done from what I can see. The spaceman looks a bit overworked with all the filing and sanding. Once you put the next layer on I bet he'll look fine.

Latest update
Im rather happy how the face is coming on. His RHS (our left) looks better than the LHS. But you cant see it that clearly in these pics. Im not happy with the folds on the pants, and the shirt/ braces are scrud*py. Need to be cleaned and tidied. Going to look at scrubbing with fine steel wool to see if that makes a difference.

I see what you mean about the trousers, AM, but the rest of him seems to be coming along very nicely :)  The expression on his face is particularly grumpy :) And the bald head looks pretty realistic, too :)
