Tabletop Gaming News is looking for award jury members

As you may be aware, Tabletop Gaming News is in the process of assembling an awards jury to help nominate and vote on our yearly awards. These awards are focused singly on the tabletop gaming hobby and so we will not have awards for or nominees from any other sections of the gaming industry. No RPGs, CCGs or board games (unless they contain miniatures).

Previous years have been run with public nominations and voting but due to irregularities with the voting in this year's awards we have decided to accelerate our plans and are hoping to run the awards next year with a ten member jury. This jury would help nominate products and also, at the end of the year, help vote for the winners in six categories (Pulp/Horror miniature, Historical miniature, Fantasy miniature, Sci-fi miniature, Terrain/Accessory product and Game/Expansion).

We want to add four or five members of the jury from amongst game and miniature manufacturers. These people would not be allowed to vote for or nominate products that they were involved with or sell. Our hope is to help widen the list of nominees by adding more experienced voices to the jury.

We will also have two or three "at large" positions for people who are just fans of miniatures or tabletop gaming. Again the intent is to create as varied a body of opinion and perspectives to make sure that the awards better reflect the best that the hobby has to offer.
