Started  him yesterday.  I am now I am having a creative block on what to do with the wombo belt and axe.  I was going to work on the polar bear pelt next. I will gladly take suggestions because I can't look at it anymore.

Blueish tinge to the axe blade and gold\bronze for the engraved part of it and maybe dark brown for the leather part of the belt and gold\bronze for the raised parts.

He has the hero look and would have wealth to buy that kind of equipment going by what he has.

That's nice. I'm not too keen on the metals but I'm interested in how you got that shade of brown for the hair and beard (I've got a bit of a creative block on shading and highlighting browns at the moment).

I can see why you are stumped, the wrong colour on the belt will throw the whole thing out.  I think you will come to a decision if you stare at him long enough  :icon_w00t:

This is the first time I used these colors and pretty happy with the result.  The colors are the Master Series Cool Browns Triad.  (Part number for those interested 9754) 

Thanks also everyone for the kind words.  I broke threw my block and I am trudging along.  I am not happy how the colors are laying down so no post yet.

Hmm, I thought you might've used them or the rich browns triad. I wasn't sure because the highlight colour is so much rediculously lighter than the other two that I've found them awkward to use. I'll give it a try on my Darkslave dwarf bust 'though and see what sort of results I can come up with.

I think that it is very well painted so far and I wouldn't dare suggest anything for fear of messing it up for you.

What range is this mini from?  I think it is very nice and especially like the hawk on his glove.

Well here is todays progress with my mucka hands in the pic :angry1:.  I am getting tired so I am stopping now before I do something dumb.  I am now happy how the helmet wings came out.  I think they are too red.  I will be browning them up some tommorow if the wife and kids give me a chance.

Thanks.  This is from Reaper Miniatures Warlord line. This is the Dwarf Warlord, King Thorgram.  I don't play the game mainly because of the lack of adult interested around my area.

I tried to paint the bird to be a Changable hawk eagle Changable hawk eagle but I don't think I pulled it off.

Ah no, I was thinking of the Warm Rich Browns Triad (which I have). The highlight colour is rediculously brighter than the shade and mid tone.

I haven't got this cool browns triad but it look good so I'll consider it when next I'm placing an order with Reaper (usualy happens every 4-6 months due to budget reasons like me having to save up a lot).

The face is so striking. There is a real life to this mini.. which is my favourite type of well painted minis, where you can imagine a real version of this character.
