As I've probably mentioned before, I started playing some 15mm WWII using the Crossfire rules.  These are the two companies I've painted so far: A British Leg Company for me and a British Indian Leg Company, for my friend Tom, who I've been playing against.

The British are Peter Pig figures.  The British Indians are a job-lot Tom picked up dirt cheap that feel like FoW sculpts, but I'm not sure as I can't find any FoW British Indians for sale, anywhere! Oh, and a few PP 8th Army British Indians to make up the numbers.

There is a little but of a shine from the final coat of satin varnish - but what the hell - they're for gaming! ;)

I think I need to paint some Germans next!!

All these photos can be found in my Crossfire folder on Cheddarmongers.

Nicely done.

I think the indians are ERM

This has one of the separate heads

Now we need some close ups of yours

I bow to your superior knowledge of the subject :D

Nice work on your chap, Bungle - what range is the body from?

I'm at work at the moment, but I've got the Indians next to me, so I've taken a couple of snaps of the Forward Observer for the 2" Morter, the Company Commander and one of the Privates:

Photography is crud* because they were taken on an envelope on my desk at work.

The body is a GZG papua new Guinean.. I hated the heads.

So I kept the helmettted heads and snipped off the fuzzy wuzzy heads with bones through the noses. Tony let me cast some heads (exciting to cast stuff for the first time) to make the sikhs.

They also do helmetted heads if you want a tommy helmet.

Your piccies, looking good, how do you find doing the 15's?

OK actually, I'm probably going a bit overboard, still - two colours on the uniforms - three on the skin, but only one colour for most of the detail.  A compromise between 6mm painting, which is more simplistic and 25+mm painting, which is more detailed - just as you'd expect really.  I probably should use some kind of shading with these chaps, but its not something I do regularaly with larger figures, so I just didn't think.

However, there are 80+ figs here, and I'm not really put off at all.  Going to dig out some Germans to paint next, which I've already bought from Peter Pig and get on with them after I've finished painting Christmas presents!
