WFRP on the forums

Troll slayer then, im a bit behind in understanding the character creation system. i assume that you do it Balgin for the roles, do you just make up a character and then i fill in the blanks? or do you create the full character?

So hands up who wants to play WFRP then.

Looking at this thread I'd say Mike, Paul, Hawkins & Keeper.

Today, in the super secret npc character sheets section of the Night Below character sheets section and did a WFRP pbf character sheet mockup that I'm almost happy with. Deathtrap Dungeon seems to be on hiatus (and I'd like to resume it and hopefuly finish it off).

However, at least two of you four aren't very familiar with the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay rules. That means that we could take character creation nice and slow (and I'd ask those of you that are familiar to take it at the same pace since hopefuly we'll have other stuff to do while I'm setting this up).

When I'm ready I'll ask Mike to create a board called Adventures in the Old World. I have an adventure ready and a rough idea of how I'll handle character creation (which'll be pretty much by the book). It sounds like Paul wants to play a human (possibly a Kislevite), Hawkins wants to play a dwarf (and wants to try and dishonour himself enough to become a trollslayer) and Mike and Keeper don't have a preferred race yet.

Playable races are humans, elves, dwarfs and halflings. Once you pick a race it all starts from there :).

I managed to get a copy of the new edition, so I'll scan the rules in the next couple of days and come up with a character concept.

@Mike: You can't be a Space Marine, or an Imperial Guardsman, or a Skitarii in this one!

@Mike again: No titans, either! :icon_wink:

I'll be doing it by the book (so you'll be rolling for random starting carreers and then moving on from there really :)).

The only house rules I'll have is that I'll be using the 1st ed distinguishing features table instead of the 2nd ed one (there's a lot more options) and, if neccessary, the old d1000 chaos mutations table instead of the 2nd ed one which has a lot less results.

So once everyone's picked a race we can get started on making these characters. It's pretty much all random rolls and the only things you really get to chose (like in 1st ed) are name, race and gender.

What's a Skitarii?

Skitarii is an Adeptus Mechanicus Tech Guard.  Kinda like imperial guard but just for the AM.
