We've just published details of a series of artwork events we're organising as part of the 2007 Newbold Challenge in support of Children in Need. If you enjoy creating any kind of artwork in any medium you can check out the details at :-

http://www.newboldworld.com/Artwork/index.html

Key features are a $100 USD cash prize for the winner and a donation of $100 USD on his behalf to Children in Need. Closing date 31 December 2007.

The artwork does not have to be mini related in any way but it can be if you wish!

I hope so! It is a very worthy cause. The BBC's tv marathon took place on friday night and raised just over £19 million in 12 hours. Puts our tiny efforts in perspective. But every single penny helps someone who really does need helping so thanx to anyone who helps us to do our bit.

Indeed it is a worthy cause. Just did some reading up on it. Must confess just the headline "Children in need" was enugh to make me want to "run to the rescue" before. Still I also hope for an opportunity to aid children in need in Rwanda, Bangladesh, Bali (I could continue the list indefinitely...) and not just in the UK.

I don't think helping kids in need in the UK in any way detracts from helping other children in need, was just mildly surprised that it wasn't a more international endeavor.
Allways treat other people as the goal, not as the means.

The BBC runs a sister event in the Spring of every second year called Comic Relief (because it's hosted by a bunch of comedians) which raises similarly huge sums of money for overseas aid projects many of which benefit children in poorer parts of the world. In years when they both run we support both (as we did with last year's Challenge).   :-)

Entries 3 & 4 are now in the Gallery. Both are excellent and continue to expand the variety very nicely :-
