MCS Miniatures – Update

We try not to fill your inbox with lots of junk but every now and then we like to keep you updated with what we are doing.  If you do not wish to receive these mails at any time you just have to let us know and we will remove you from this list.  A few updates on some of our ranges.  As with anything, just ask, we will try and help, advise and in some cases locate something you may be looking for.

Figure Cases

Having teamed up with Figures in Comfort recently we are now supplying their collection of cases and assorted foam trays to cater for all your storage needs.  Currently due to a lack of storage space (we can only hold so much stock in our current location) and the size of the range, the cases and foam trays are for order.  My personal collection is available for viewing if you cannot decide which would suit you best.

Paint

We currently supply

Privateer Press – P3 Paints (very good all round paint, ideal for beginners, 20ml pots, good coverage)

Rackham (I would aim these paints for people who enjoy painting, these 20ml pots are aimed above novice level, not   ideal for those one coat and onto the table painters, very good paint though)

Vallejo (hands up all who have not heard of these??  Famous recommended paints in dropper bottles designed for mini painting)

Urban Mammoth

Urban War is getting much bigger than before.  The factions are getting bigger and offering more choice.  Sadly a staff sickness has delayed Metropolis until later this year where Urban War will be on a large scale, but until then we will just continue with the skirmish!!  An Urban War league will be commencing shortly details will follow.  The demo team have been hard at work converting people over, a good success rate at a local school where two demos sessions have been held and a painting competition.

WW2

You saw them on the stand next to us at Bovington 2006, hopefully you will see a lot more of the WarmAcre team and us as we try to work together more.  They have produced Hour of Glory – A stealth bunker game, you are an agent infiltrating a German bunker, On a short time limit to achieve your objectives and remain undiscovered.  Game available as a standard set with card figures or for a little extra replace those card figures with metal figures sculpted by Gav Tyler.  If you really want to spoil yourself then we can have Gav paint your figures too!!!  Also available is Bunker storm, an expansion for Hour of Glory where you take command of your team and have to take the bunker by storm!!!

(Contents of the Hour of Glory box set, we would recommend the set with the metal figures)

Alternative Armies

Fed up with too many pompous Naps players telling you that your troops have the wrong shade green on their cuffs??  Go for an alternative verson, have Orcs battle Elves, or Dogs, or Toads, they are all here in this game of black powder.  Flintloque offers you skirmish rules, these are available with or without figures.  If it's the bigger battles you are after then Slaughterloo is the game of Divisional battles.  ........over the hills and far away!!

Rebellion

Ever wanted to recreate your famous scenes from Braveheart.  A new game from Ebob which looks good and some very nice minis.  Coming to a gaming table near you real soon!!!!

Paintballing!!!!

I saw this and fell in love.  This game is aimed at a few of you I know have griped on about having to keep up with all the game expansions.  Well here will be a good start.  A slightly different angle on wargaming .....paintball.  Move your teams around in a little paintball fun that has all the benefits of paintball just in the warm and dry and less likely to cause bruises.  Available as a two team package or just buy a team or a couple of blisters.  You know its worth a go!!

We are currently looking into a number of systems, hobby accessories, terrain etc and appreciate your views and opinions, after all we are here to support you.

So there you have just a little update from us, you know where we are!!  We are available to assist you at any level of the hobby, we are regulars at a number of clubs so if you are looking for a game we can point you in the right direction!  We can demo and run competitions and have the support of our volunteers team.  We support league events and to be honest just like to game and paint!!

Al the best

Lee is the one I know and yeah hes a great bloke.  I expect their business to do well once its more known as their customer service will be 2nd to none and that goes a long way in the mini world !

Glad someone else can confirm their reputability :-)

And my Khadorans and Rhulfolk have faced off against his Irusk force a good two or three times now :). Just waiting to get the chance to field my Circle against him (or my full Rhulic force with both infantry units :)).
