My girlfriend decided to jump into 40K with a Chaos Space Marine army, she spent the whole weekend assembling a Chaos Defiler and looking greedily to my Space Marine Dreadnoughts... so I've built for her a Chaos Dreadnought from a Sentinel I had assembled and lying forgotten, bits (mainly a twin-linked Land raider lascannon), plasticard and left overs from her Chaos sprues... it was that or my SM army will slowly convert into Chaos XD
Here are the pictures:

Too bad she does not like Nurgle...

Great work Andres :) What is the white that you have mounted the plastic bits on? plasticard?
-
Yep... it is plasticard...
I'm currently working on the legs...

Nice work Andres. :occasion14: Any pics of the defiler?
I've been reading some of the novels and it's too bad they don't make more of the characters from their own stories.
-
So this is the Defiler:

She's very new at the hobby, only some Warmachine models under her belt... I tried to warn her about the perils of 40K... now she has 2500 pts of CSM to assemble :P

It does become an addiction. Has she joined the forum? If not, see if she wants to come and share in our collective madness. Looks like she did a good job on the model. Does she paint also?
-
This is a Deathjack she painted... she is very excited about improving her painting skills :D

Nice work :occasion14: (makes mental note to keep asking for updates) :icon_wink:

Looks like she's already gone some painting skills to build from, Andres! :)
-
Well she is very enthusiastic and really like the things related to painting... she got a wet palette from P3 and things like that just to try them...
In the meantime more pictures of the Chaos Dread:

Looks like he is going to be a mean little son of a _____!

Assembled!
Needs detailing and talons... sadly I got some backlog of miniatures I need to paint as a commission so I will froze this for a couple of weeks to start getting money...

Got a lovely dynamic walking pose there, Andres :) Let us know when you get back to it!

Looks like a real winner Andres.

The thing is I get easily distracted... and since the model was out of my sight, out of my mind I stopped working on it... but this sunday I was planning to teach my GF how to play (and probably losing, for my sanity's sake :P ) but ended up giving the finishing touches to the dread (including a tail).
So it's finally done and probably has more possibilities to see paint since I'm not the one that will be applying colours to it XD

I really liked this project... I'm interested in building another just to fix some issues I had when started, but there is no way can justify a second dreadnought...
