Title: Balgin's Wishlist
Post by: Balgin Stondraeg on January 29, 2007, 03:16:53 AM
An assortment of zombie monks. I don't mean ninja wannabe's, I mean medieval european monks, robes, tonsures, sandals the lot. They've all died in a variety of ways (I have a list) and I suppose living monks that I could paint as dead would be cool as I'm only ever going to use them for a handful of games anyway (but that's not the point).

The Grimorden (I'll post a picture in a bit of it dragging a dead monk along). It's basicaly a large, man sized demon thing kept in a magical prison that the monks have discovered (whilst unearthing some old ruins), it animated a dead man as a ghost type thing, he kiled the monks and then it's animated them as zombies. Good stuff but hard to find models for.

Dekion Strom: human, large, burly, outdoors type. Shoulder length hair & big 70's droopy moustache that goes below his jaw. Armed with a scimitar & shield and wearing a shirt of bright mail (I'm currently using that Reaper scimitar druid as a standin and it's fairly good but he at least needs the fox's head removing from his shoulder and a moustache sculpting on). I have a picture for Dekion Strom as well :p.

Behold the Mmight that is The Grimorden!

Now considering that that's a monk (human body) he's dragging in the first pic and that those are ghouls in the last picture, I'd say he's large (slightly smaller than troll size) and probably fits on a medieum sized Warmachine style base (although he could fit on a small one, probably).

I don't like the really skinny face on that body and think it could be a tad wider.

Since the Grimorden is copywrite (by a company who haven't updated their website since 2002 and haven't produced any enw products since then either) I'm not wanting to see a commercial sculpt but if anyone would be willing to do a custom sculpt I'd be grateful.

I've almost suggested the Grimorden on FOD a few times but had misplaced the pictures :p.

Here's some zombie monks too:

Rackham's Meteors of the Aegis-NABO04 boxed set (because they look perfect for a dwarven bloodbowl team). Unfortunately that means I'd probably need 2 or 3 boxes......

Also the Rackham female dwarf warriors ('cause you don't see  alot of thsoe and these cartoony ones have a little comedy value and look pretty, if unbelievable).

Its a nice idea. I like the look of the demon. Hmmm let me see.....

Shouldn't this be in the figures suggestions rather than wish list, as they haven't been made?

I like the idea.. sort of Legend meets Orcs.

Maybe dog/goat type rear legs (what do they call those type of legs?) but with the same muscle mass would make it look less like a (big) man in a suit.

it's here because I wanted to start a wishlist thread and didn't notice the suggestions section. However, the main reason it's here and not there is that some of you might know of existing sculpts that I'm not aware of (like lots of monks who already look like mindless zombies :p).

I have a few monks, got one picked to paint sometime, he's more a Buddhist monk but the head looks like Davros from doctor who.

Davros having a snaching a quick break.

Magnificent Ego's The Prophet 2 (alledgedly released back in October but blatantly unavailable since their online webshop hasn't been updated since august and because I've ahd bad experiences ordering from Fantisation before).

Also Magnificent Ego's Wall of Stone (times 2, and if someone would greenstuff them together, placing both the high ends together, leaving both the low ends at opposite ends, so that you get to see both sides of the sculpt when viewing it from either end, as opposed to seeing the same thing twice).

Why do I want two? Because I reckon that a pair of them, suitably based and converted, would make a great Gorten's Stone Wall Spell template (much better than bending a card up and waiting for it to break at any rate).

WTF is this Paizo store thing and what have they done to the old ME webshop? It was the old webshop yesterday (no kidding) and now today it's something new.

That's not the original version of The Prophet but the new one that nobody has apart from some smug people who went to american conventions because as far as I know it's never been released yet because Magnificent Egos have done nothing since august, sort of.

Ptolus: (yes, I know the concept's like an even worse version of Planescape but without any of the cool bits).

So anyway, from the Ptolus range....

The Wants:

Chaositech Adept
Knight of the Pale
Lillith (a nice plain mini without too many silly bits on it)
Order of the Fist Initiate
Sheva Callister
Sister of Silence
Vai Assassin

The Maybe's:

The Dwarf Rifleman (I'm not keen on the goggles and a few other aspects of the sculpt).
Cleric of Lothian (I spy spear convertion potential)
Forsaken Adpet? (necro potential)
Harrow, Elf Sorceror? I'm not sure, don't like the claw things strapped onto the ahnds but the clothes and mask are cool.
Navanna Vladaam?

The style of this guy's sculpting reminds me of the single piece plastics from Heroquest, Advanced Heroquest and assorted GW board games (especialy the Warlock of Firetop Mountain pieces). You know, nice, simple, quaint.

I'd also like the Crunch Waffle samurai with the sword over his shoulder.

Also the Rackham female dwarf warriors ('cause you don't see  alot of thsoe and these cartoony ones have a little comedy value and look pretty, if unbelievable).

Female Khor Warriors-NAEL07

I knew I could find the code for them.

Also hobbit paladins, tweedledum & tweedledee style pair in makeshift heavy armour with comedy small wooden swords and spears or something. They'd be a boy and a girl (and she'd have two large pigtails protruding from beneath her cooking pot helmet).

If anyone ever fancies making thsoe two then let me know (they'd work best as a couple 'though).

I really like those undead monks, and the skinny servant type minor demons are very inspiring!
Title: Re: Balgin's Wishlist
Post by: Balgin Stondraeg on February 02, 2007, 04:50:48 PM
Well a lot of them died different ways (like the one who drowned in the bath and now hides in zombie form beneath the soapy bathwaters clutching a razor the monks use to shave their tonsures with and waiting for an unsuspecting victim to come by).

Yes, I have a specific list :p (although most of them were drained to death by a ghost but they have impliments like trowels, the razor etc).

Also they only animate afew hours after the party arrive so if they've been buried or moved or anything then things could change.

But for now the Grimorden takes top priority. Some of those Ilyad demons might have worked but all the Ilyad stuff's pretty hard to find at the moment.

From the left: Dekion Strom, Ellion G'arrak, Sarian Jax & Rhana Quinn.

All four would be nice but Dekion's top priority at the moment (but not by much, I just hadn't got round to posting about the others yet). Ellion's a half orc and Rhana's half elven. I currently have temporary models for all of them (they're a set of pregenerated characters for some adventures). There's another set of four pregens who are a lot easier to find (apart from the bald female egyptian style priestess who's just a bit of a headache really especialy with the specific head tattooes that are too small to paint :p).

It's a low res scan but it's basicaly the lower half of an a4 sized picture.

It's supposed to be standard 4 into 1 western mail. I believe the shoulder stuff is mean't to be leather. You can't see it from here but Sarian's got curly hair (almost looks like a scouser). I got Sarian & Rhana the wrong way round when listing names :p. But yeah, all four would be good but just Dekion would be nice (he always comes across as boystrous outdoor type all full of enthusiasm despite beign a mere set of numbers and a picture on a pregenerated character sheet :p). The others don't have such well defined personalities (you need to think a bit to get a feel for them).

Erm, Pilgrim. The Pilgrim 2. You know, the one they "released" at Gencon and listed on their site as being released in October but they never updated their webshop so there's no knowing if it's even been released yet or not.

If anyone would be willing to help with a convertion then they'd get to keep all the leftover bits (there'd be enough to make a complete model).

Here's what I'd need....

From Heresy:
Berserk Boris 2
Fantasy Football Boris
Some Greenstuff (for sculpting & gap filling).

The convertion would be FF Boris' leather clad torso with the sword arm (& hand) from Berserk Boris. His left arm would be Berserk Boris' bent left arm (not the outstretched one). He should be bare headed and preferably snarling or roaring.

And I can then paint him up with a big purple targetting circle on his bonce if someone will sculpt a hampster on his left shoulder that he's encouraging to charge into battle with him :p.

"Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!"

"Squeak!"

If I trusted myself with the lettering I'd write "Butt kicking for goodness" around the edge of the base.

Incidentaly, spotting that these parts would make an exellent Minsc is something I did around last easter time.

Dear mr Wishlist, I would like the following 3 classic Citadel miniatures:

The Clint Bounty Hunter
The Dwarf Without a Name
and finaly the Clint Eastwood Dwarf (complete with poncho, cigar, hat and crossbow, I've seen it so I know it exists but some lcuky bugger bought it before me).

I suspect that last one might have been Ral Partha but it was probably Citadel.

Oh yeah, there was this film called Dragonheart. It was an okay film (and fun to watch). Shortly after it's release there was this really cool Dragon action figure but I was a penniless student at the time so I couldn't afford to buy it. Anyway, now I can afford it and it's sort of not very available anymore but if I can get one I'd really like it as it comes a lot closer to my image of fantasy dragons than the GW S Bend horros of the mid to late 90's.

So if anyone sees one (and it's available) I'd appreciate it if they'd let me know.

I think I've found a picture. (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=KEN10436&mode=retail&picture=in)

There seems to have been a resin kit (http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Draco-from-Dragonheart-BIG-vinyl-model-kit-NIB_W0QQitemZ320096737195QQcategoryZ4249QQcmdZViewItem) as well and I think Andrea Miniatures might've done a large scale one as well but I'm not sure (plus I haven't got a clue how to get their stuff anyway).

£25 didn't even meet his reserve price. Looks like I'm going to have to give this one a miss this time round :(.

Oh well, I'm also interested in Andrea's (that's still odd writing that since Andrea was a school teacher of mine for six years) 54mm Drunegar Runekeeper (http://www.andrea-miniatures.com/market/AspsProductos/Detalle.asp?IdProductoDetalle=1111) and the new 30mm version (http://www.andrea-miniatures.com/market/AspsProductos/Detalle.asp?IdProductoDetalle=1157). I think I prefer the 54mm's pose but the 30mm's better for gaming (I actualy looked at the photo's and went "the sculpt's not as good as the relaxing one" before realising it was about half the size and then deciding that it's a pretty good sculpt for that size).

Clearly I'm not gullible (or wealthy) enough to want the rpepainted versions.

I also wouldn't mind their El Cid (blatant Charlton Heston and proud of it), some (but by no means all) of their vikings, germans, saxons and celts. There's never enough money and I'd never paint them all so there's no rush :).

This list or my Reaper list?

I've managed to get the Rackham female dwarfs and took some WIP shots of them yesterday (haven't uploaded them yet). They're the ugliest female dwarfs I've ever seen. I just can't work it out. If the company claim to be inspired by the artist Arthur Rackham then why do their miniatures all look absolutely nothing like his artwork (and, in fact, look about as opposite to his style as you could get).

There's still no zombie monks
no Grimorden
no Paizo Ptolus mini's
no Magnificent Ego's mini's (they seem to be dying a death 'though, no releases since August)
no Tweedledum & Tweedledee hobbit paladin male & female pair :(
no Dekion Strom (I'm still using a Reaper stand in)

I've got the Heresy miniatures but got sent the wrong body with FF Boris (two Berserk bodies) and I really wanted that leather jerkin. So now I have two complete Boris' (but one doesn't have a left leg) so Andy says he'll sort it out tomorrow :).

Still no Clint Bounty Hunter
no Clint Dwarf
no poncho & two pistols dwarf (different from the crossbow bearing rare one)

I can take a look at the Reaper list if you want but I'll need to order from them sometime soon as I'm running low on RMS Tanned Flesh Shadow.

Erm, yep, blatantly. One or two things might've come off and a few more will have gone on (includoing the paints someone used on that dwarf's beard recently).

Added 09737: Burnt Colors Triad, 09764: Sandy Colors Triad, 09754: Grey Browns Triad and that Klocke "Giant Dwarf Lady". I might've added a few more things and I know I removed one or two (arrived with my latest order) but I know I kept some that I have on the list (easy reference in case someone asks what they were, or I'd like to buy a second one sometime later).

The Lone Wolf Magnamund special mega deal. (http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/detail.php?qsID=1466&qsSeries=Lone%20Wolf)

32 hardback gamebooks (450 sections each) plus 3 or 4 novels set in the game world.

£399 quid (so, 300 quid) for £320's worth of gamebooks and 4 novels (plus maybe the replica Sommerswerd they'd promised to everyone who signed up for the mega deal but seem to have forgotten to left out of the new announcement).

I'm willing to accept donations towards this monumental cost. It's like a Lone Wolf fan's wet dream come true or something :).

Plus the first Lone Wolf computer game comes out sometime in 2008/2009 too (that is, the first one that's not for the Amiga or the BBC model B computer......). Can anyone help me find this ugly little podder, (http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique_us/fiche_produit.cfm?type=155&ref=UKNAHE02&code_lg=lg_us&pag=1&num=10) Hirh-Karn the Enraged. He's one of the few Confrontation dwarfs who actualy seem to be worth their points (he's also one of the oldest back from when the range was just him, a single blister of guys with swords & shields, and the tank).

I know I had the french version and sold him off last year but he seems really difficult to replace. My local stockists seem to have problems getting hold of him (but they have problems with characters in general, units they can get). I can't find him on various websites anymore.

In fact the only place I can find him is the french Rackham webshop where he's on special offer (but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay their exorbitant shipping rates for a single blister pack). A few guys at the club were talking about putting in a joint order to the webshop on monday so I'll see if that's happening the next time we meet and ask them.

If anyone does know of a copy available in this country 'though (idealy with the english cards) then that'd be a great help 'though.

Yeah, well I'm doing the washing up so I didn't have time :p.

Ebay: it'll be second hand, the card's likely to be missing and the preview picture is the Rackham studio paintjob (just blatant copy and paste) so I don't know what condition it's in or if it's even what it purports to be.

Paizo: That's abig american thing, right? By big I mean "so big they don't update stuff that's going out of production and going for reduced prices from the source so they might not have any in stock and I'd need to wait months while they found out they wouldn't actualy be getting any more so it's too risky.

TCB: What's that all written in, Dutch? No english language option so it looks like it'd be a nightmare trying to understand them :(.

You could slip the last one in with my stuff and i could post it on.

Erm, was that to CH or me?

It also says it's in america. And I don't have an Ebay account. Well it could be worse. I still don't know if Wristy's comment was to Ch or me (or if it even involved this model or somethuing else).

Personaly I'd be more reassured by a photo of an unopened blister pack than just some photo grabbed from somewhere and the words "it's new but I can't be bothered to try and reassure you of that".

I still don't know if Wristy's comment was to Ch or me (or if it even involved this model or somethuing else).

I'm up before 4am Monday-Friday for work so i catch up on sleep in the afternoon for a few hours, thats why i didn't reply till now.
It was to CH about getting the figure for you and including it in the parcel to me so i could send it on to you.

You can ask the seller (ask anyone in the US to ask the seller as it's US only i think) to send you pic's and any questions you might have about it before you bid.

Well it's not an auction, it's an ebay webshop (now there's a contradiction in terms).

I'll place an order with that leisure games company tonight so then hopefuly they'll get back to me about out of stock stuff sometime tomorrow or friday. After that, I'll know if I need to do the ebay thing or not (which can then hopefuly wait 'till teusday when I've met the guys on sunday & monday and find out what's going on :)).

Okay, so I made a small order (very small, 1 mini to avoid problems going "okay, substitute that for that and then send them all down") to the Leisure games site around half four/ten to fiveish this afternoon. Now I suppose I'll wait for them to get back to me if there's a problem.

Balgin, can't find the relevant thread (or am not looking hard enough ) but while rooting around for stu's dragon and wyvern I found this boxed set and remembered you were a Lone Wolf fan.

Set seems complete - there's actually an extra of one of the spearchucker Diaks, though his spear's snapped. The knight has been assembled and mounted and the axe on the big lizard guy (okay,so I can't remember the names) is almost broken through but looks repairable.

Any good to you before it goes on eBay?

This (http://www.coolminiornot.com/store/product.php?xProd=1577&xSec=2)

Great "alternate Eiryss" sculpt. Do a handswap (right hand, to give her the default crossbow) and maybe a headswap (scale dependant) and she'd be ready to paint. However I don't want to place an order with a company halfway round the world for just one figure (albeit two copies, one to paint as is and one to carve up and mutilate into something new). So if anyone feels like helping out then let me know.

that mini is tiny and pretty awful in terms of flatness (it's dome by an ex-rackham sculptor) and is 'spyglass' small

unfortunately i got rid of mine a long time ago (though i did place in that painting comp)
Title: Re: Balgin's Wishlist
Post by: Balgin Stondraeg on August 02, 2007, 06:29:40 PM
Thanks for the warning about size. I still feel that almost anything which resembles the original Eiryss artwork more than the wanky hyperactive action pose model where the torso is anatomicaly impossible in at least two ways (in that it fails to twist or turn to allow the position of the limbs to be possible, in two completely opposite and impossible ways, but just remains straight as if neither the arm or the leg were crossed over the body or flung back like that) .....

.... would be a major improvement.

The fact that the redid the artwork to try and make the miniature look better is a bit depressing really. They had a lovely huntress/assassin stalking her foe picture (for a sniper/huntress) and then they sculpted a manga pose that simply doesn't suit the sneaky sneaky character concept at all.

Not good.

I am currently seeking....

A miniature depicting a heavily armoured bald female human warrior wielding a double handed flailing type of weapon (long handle, chain & eapon head). Failing that she'd settle for a two handed mace.

I'm considering converting one of Kev's Dark Age "bald girl with two handed mace" sculpts but she's practicaly naked and it'd be one hell of a conversion. Link. (http://www.dark-age.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=122)

I'm thinking of the more relaxed one, no the aggressive attacking one. She's not a warrior, she's the priestess of a goddess of deciet and vengeance who pretends to be a fighter type as a cover identity (and has done so very well in the past).

If anyone can find a good mini that might suit her and involve less converting, or has any suggestions for converting a practicaly naked model into wearing full plate armour (or something almost as bulky) then I'd be interested to know.

Edit: Oh yeah, I almost forgot, she should have decidedly latino features (so some mini's might just look wrong anyway).

Actualy the main reason I mentioned that model (other than the fact that I thought it'd be good for the character as soon as I saw Kev's WIP photo's) is that I already have her and am more interested in convertion ideas/advice. However I put it here in the wishlist thread first because other people might have good alternative recommendations (as indeed you did).

Hirh-Karn the Enraged. Balgin if you are still after this figure (and i assume you had no luck with leisure games that i recommended, D'oh!) then this site  http://www.simpleminiaturegames.com/html/  that CH started a thread on says it has 5 in stock and dirt cheap to (under the 50% off Rackham part of the online store).
Title: Re: Balgin's Wishlist

Oh I got one from Leisure Games. It's the worst misscast I've ever seen.

Their returns policy is as follows:

1: The customer sends them an email (something like "I'd like to send this back and these are my reasons").
2: They reply to the email going "yeah sure, send it back then."
3: The customer sends it back.
4: They refund/replace etc.

Well I sent them an email the day I got it.
The next day an email arrived from them informing me that my original order had been posted (I knew that as I'd already got it).
And they still haven't replied to my email (which had 4 or 5 photo's attached).

See the "would you send this back" thtread in the main discussion forum.

So when I placed an order with Simple Miniatures on sunday evening I slippeed a (NotTheTigerFromTheJungleBook's name) in there for good luck as it was only £3.

I'd also like this model (http://www.coolminiornot.com/store/product.php?xProd=2048&jssCart=beedaf1cbec470c574eb02c6e45d246f) that Steve Buddle sculpted for cool mini but I don't like the "three times as large as it should be" weapon head at the top of that shaft so she might need some converting.

Erm, your what, mate?

Alt Vicks? I thought she might make a suitable alternate Kess (less sculpting padded and studded armour) but I'll need to see how shield friendly she is (and sword replacement too) before making a decision. Photo's won't really show that much.

Plus Arcane Minis have the alternate Vicky & two freebooter models I like in stock (but they might still be pre order) so I may place an order there soon. Might even trade in my loyalty points to get a few pennies off too.

Title: Re: Balgin's Wishlist
Post by: Balgin Stondraeg on October 25, 2007, 12:31:47 PM
Don't worry. The Kess convertion's been a WIP since Wyrd first released the original Vicky green. Kess is sort of liek a doomed project in that every time I (or someone else) tries to have a go at her events conspire against us to prevent it from being finished :(. For example, the first time I did a fair bit of the work, leant her to someone else who was going to do the sculpting, and then he absconded with the remaining parts (& my money) and never returned anything to me.

And it just seems to drag on from there really :(. I'm even considering giving it another go myself (but I know my sculpting skills are nowhere near good enough for what I need and it'll be really hard to find another Mordheim backpack now that git's run off with it :().

Anyway, I'd better add most of the Dark Sword mini's that I don't already have to this list (Like this one (http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/gallery/5th_anniv_mini.htm)). I'm not too keen on the Dragons ('cause I wouldn't find much use for them) but there's quite a few of the other things that I like the look of.

If anyone has this then do they know if the wings come separately? I remember first seeing the green (without wings) and they discussed adding them or not. I know they discussed doing the wings separately so you could use them or not and I remember thinking the version without wings looked so much better.

Does anyone know for sure?

Seeing that it's still listed as preorder I bet Paizo (who blatantly took over Magificent Egos) just discontinued all the unfinished mini's so they could push the crud*py cartoony Kobolds Ate My Baby stuff on the line instead.

Does anybody know anything about these Paizo people anyway?
Title: Re: Balgin's Wishlist
Post by: Valloa on December 20, 2007, 07:37:16 PM
Paizo may have re-shelved them, donno about that. But they were released to several distributors.  My copy (from distribution channels) doesn't have slots, etc for wings and just plain didn't come with any. (The figure is also openhanded, no apple)  So I would hazard a guess that unless they reworked it, if they include wings they will be separate.  Now that dragon jaw is a separate piece and doesn't fit well.

Unfortunately no.  It was one of our smaller suppliers when we had Wyvern Games open and they were phasing out the egos line at the time because restock was hard for them to get.

Now, as some of you may now, Magnificent Egos are back in business and their lovely new webshop even includes all the unreleased stuff I was waiting for.

Unfortunately:

Quote
Shipping & Delivery
At this time, the shopping cart only supports addresss and shippin within the United States and Canada. Magnificent Egos Miniatures will ship anywhere. Simply enter your information in the special instructions and we will contact you with the correct shipping information before you are charged. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.

So either 1: They'll send stuff anywhere on the american continent

or 2: They'll send stuff abroad providing I give them the apropriate details

I know roughly what I want to order (not that much) and could finalise an order quickly. It's just that I'd like a little clarification and, if they won't post abroad, I'd appreciate it if someone could recieve an order for me and then send it on my way.

I think you're probably reading a bit too much into what they've said here, Balgin, although I've never dealt with them, personally.

But, option 2, "They'll send stuff abroad providing I give them the apropriate details" sounds like what you'd need to do for any overseas supplier, to me - its just they've got an amero-centric shopping cart - but they're aware that is a problem for non-US and Canadian customers.

If still in doubt, find their contact page and send them an email

That's what I'll do but I've just placed an order with Reaper so that's about £80 I won't be seeing again (probably more once customs and excise grab it and hold it ransom). That's a large chunk of this month's disposable income and I need to save up for these (http://www.privateerpress.com/WARMACHINE/gallery/default.php?level=picture&id=414) in july.

Balgy,  I think a friend of mine has the Old World Armoury.  I'll write him and ask if he's got it and is willing to part with it if you want.  I don't think he's actually using it any more, but he's retentive.  It may be difficult to convince him he'd survive selling it.  If he needs monetary coercion, what are you willing/able to do, shipping included (I'm in America).

That one's actualy quite low on my list of priorities ('cuase plenty of places still have it in stock). Realms od Sorcery just arrived so it's off the list :D.

Paizo aren't selling the Ptolus miniatures any more so now I won't be able to get them anywhere unless someone's bothered to actualy get some :(.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but Victoria Miniatures 100VIC02 Dwarf Troll Slayer (picture link). (http://eurekamin.com.au/popup_image.php?pID=10206) Unfortunately it's probably the only Victoria mini I fancy (at the moment) and it looks like it's available from an australian website, but their other stock doesn't appeal to me much (I'd like some of the historical stuff but the quality seems to be lacking or the proportions too chunky on the ones I might've liked).

Right, so Ptolus mini's are available (http://paizo.com/store/games/miniatures/miniaturesForRoleplaying/pathfinderChroniclesMiniatures) again but not all of them seem to be.

The Wants:

Chaositech Adept
Knight of the Pale
Lillith (a nice plain mini without too many silly bits on it)
Order of the Fist Initiate
Sheva Callister
Sister of Silence
Vai Assassin

The Maybe's:

The Dwarf Rifleman (I'm not keen on the goggles and a few other aspects of the sculpt).
Cleric of Lothian (I spy spear convertion potential)
Forsaken Adpet? (necro potential)
Harrow, Elf Sorceror? I'm not sure, don't like the claw things strapped onto the ahnds but the clothes and mask are cool.
Navanna Vladaam?

The following are still available:

Navanna Vladaam
Knight of the Pale
Lillith (a nice plain mini without too many silly bits on it)
The Dwarf Rifleman (I'm not keen on the goggles and a few other aspects of the sculpt).
Forsaken Adpet? (necro potential)
Sister of Silence
Harrow, Elf Sorceror? I'm not sure, don't like the claw things strapped onto the ahnds but the clothes and mask are cool.
Chaositech Adept
Cleric of Lothian (I spy spear convertion potential)
Sheva Callister
Vai Assassin

The following are not: Order of the Fist Initiate

Although it's been absolute yonks since I saw them and that monk with the dagger looks like he might've been him. Bizarrely the painted preview pictures don't do them any favours (the older unpainted greesn had better camera angles). Some of them look quite different from different angles but a few still look quite good. I might look into placing an order soon. A few of them seem to have "this product is a back order" written next to them implying that they don't have any in stock at the moment. Fortunately those few aren't ones that interested me very much anyway so I might just go for it (and see what Magnificent Egos stuff they've got in as well).

I've recognised some of the other Ptolus minis I didn't want (like the minotaur wizard) so I reckon they're probably all there.

He looks like he might be an Enigma sculpt.

Funny you should mention that. He's on a 40 mm base but when you ignore the treasure chest and the ground he only comes to about 25-30mm tall. So he'd just about fit in with the long legged dwarfs Werner Klocke did for Reaper or those really big dwarfs from Dwarf Tales (basicaly they're dwarf size plus the height of a normal base, if you stick them on an actual base they look too tall).

I saw someone write MAS near it but that doesn't sound like any company I've heard of.

Right so, the condensed list:

Quote
An assortment of zombie monks (western/euopean monks). About 24-25 of them ideally but hopefuly I won't need that many at any one time.

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/zombiemonks.jpg (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/zombiemonks.jpg)

A not Grimorden

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim1.jpg (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim1.jpg)
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim2.jpg (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim2.jpg)
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim3.jpg (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim3.jpg)
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim4.jpg (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/Grim/Grim4.jpg)

The Grimorden should be somewhere between human and ogre/troll size (so big but not that large). I know the pictures make it look larger and I was surprised by it's size too. Maybe Heresy do something almost appropriate. Perhaps some opf the Ilyad demons would've been good too but they're out of business now (and why can't french people spell Illiad anyway?).

Magnificent Ego's (once again out of busines):

The Prophet 2 (http://paizo.com/store/games/miniatures/miniaturesForRoleplaying/magnificentEgos/uncommonCharacters/v5748btpy7zk7), Wall of Stone spell mini (x2 to turn into Gorten's rockj wall with greenstuff in the middle) (http://paizo.com/store/games/miniatures/miniaturesForRoleplaying/magnificentEgos/artifactsAndDweomers/v5748btpy7fpv), that dragon tamer girl in scale mail with the crystal ball. (http://paizo.com/image/product/catalog/MEO/MEO1039_500.jpeg)

Hobbit paladins, tweedledum & tweedledee style pair in makeshift heavy armour with comedy small wooden swords and spears or something. They'd be a boy and a girl (and she'd have two large pigtails protruding from beneath her cooking pot helmet). I don't think anyone makes them but it would be a good idea.

Appropriate mini's for the fighting fantasy pregens:

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/ffd20pregens.jpg (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Balgin/Doodles/ffd20pregens.jpg)

I might have the fighter sorted but the rest are still up for grabs.

Classic Citadel miniatures:
The Clint Bounty Hunter
The Dwarf Without a Name
and finaly the Clint Eastwood Dwarf (complete with poncho, cigar, hat and crossbow, I've seen it so I know it exists but some lucky bugger bought it before me).

Andrea Miniatures:
54mm Drunegar Runekeeper
30mm Drunegar Runekeeper
El Cid
some (but not all) of their vikings, saxons & germans

I can get everything else they sell elsewhere.

WFRP 2nd ed books:
Barony of the Damned
Night's Dark Masters
Children of the Horned Rat
The Thousand Thrones Campaign
Character Pack
Old World Armoury
Paths of the Damned 1&2

And the two books Fantasy Flight Games braught out already.

Victoria Miniatures female trollslayer: http://eurekamin.com.au/popup_image.php?pID=10206 (http://eurekamin.com.au/popup_image.php?pID=10206)

So anyway, from the Ptolus range (now renamed) (http://paizo.com/store/games/miniatures/miniaturesForRoleplaying/pathfinderChroniclesMiniatures)

The Wants:

*Galtan Freedom Fighter
High Priest of Pharasma (a nice plain mini without too many silly bits on it)
Varisian Adventurer
Nexian Bounty Hunter
Vai Assassin

The Maybe's:

Riddleport Tax Collector
Numerian Witch
Janderhoff Wandrifler (I'm not keen on the goggles and a few other aspects of the sculpt).
Osirian Tomb Warden (I spy spear convertion potential)
Mwangi Shaman? (necro potential)
Nidal Shadow Priest? I'm not sure, don't like the claw things strapped onto the ahnds but the clothes and mask are cool.
Chelaxian Devilborn?*

Does anyone know where this comes from?

http://www.microartstudio.com/gallery/news/Miniature_Dwarf_Bjorn_the_Hunter_1.jpg (http://www.microartstudio.com/gallery/news/Miniature_Dwarf_Bjorn_the_Hunter_1.jpg)

He looks like he might be an Enigma sculpt.

Assorted Reaper Mini's (lost my wishlist). Reaper Olive Skin Tone triad.

Freebooter: Sarah Item Code: STE005

Avatars of War:
Dwarf Berserker Item Code: AOW01
Elf Hero Item Code: AOW03
Barbarian Hero Item Code: AOW07
Dark Elf Sorceress Item Code: AOW08

There's more things too (HF multi part goblins etc) but this post'll probbaly help for a start.

With recent additions:

Quote
HF  Norman Dwarfs (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1792), Magnum PI (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1637) (to go with the other Grymn) and the unreleased multipart goblins. (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/productionqueue.php)

Maybe also skiffy Jen http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1001 (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1001) and skiffy Libby http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1790 (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1790). I'm not so sure about them yet but some of you star wars fans would probably want them (and the other star wars kids too). Many of you would probably like the upcoming Cobra PLisken (http://forum-of-doom.com/index.php?topic=10100.50) as well.

OH yeah probably The Tardis (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1681) too :).

what do you think of the chaos dwarf and new dwarf with pistol from Avatars of War Balgin?

Awkward. It may just be the camera angles but the dwarf's left wrist looks bent back a bit a she aims the gun. The axe arm doesn't look awkward but I really don't like the huge chain/strap thing going down from the main gun to his body. It looks too stiff (and has only got details on one side). It looks like a bolter clip, rigid coming straight out.

The pipe looks good but he's got a huge cartoon widow's peak that goes right down between his eyebrows (it's almost as if he's got a sort of peaked cap on or something). The dragon's head on the end of the gun barrel looks a bit crud* too (it broadens out too much). He also looks a bit on the lanky side.

The chaos dwarf justr screams of flat modelism. The plaits in his beard don't seem to line up for continuitie's sake. If you follow the line down afrom above the arm, or up from beneath it, they don't seem to meet. Big flat square weapon, flat "square" body. Flat modelism and, if the base in the photo's is anything to go by, way too big to be called a dwarf too. Giant chunky space marine shoulderplates squashed  a bit to fit in with the flat style. I don't like it.

Does anybody know if there are any of those unreleased Chronopia dwarfs available anywhere? You know, the tunnel fighters, warshields and the scout unit (wolf scouts I think). You know, the ones that never got released outside some small state in america who did no international advertising at all.

There is something odd about that was (at least to me)

Nah, I'm seeing it to. It's just that those are the sort of earrings Kess should have (and the face is reasonable) so I was wondering if the head was separate or stuck in that collar.

I'm reckoning 5 parts = main body, gun on back (plus arm holding it from the elbow/armpit), the 2 pistols at the hip for one piece, the base inlay and maybe the base it gets put into (or some part of the bopdy or something to stick on the base).

It is an odd sculpt.
