I am just tired of the way GW operates :icon_silly: .... I am happy for the painters who get the exposure. :icon_neat:

So does Gw bashing count as politcal or religious discussion??  :icon_razz:

I see myself as someone who still goes to GW because i see the greatness they could be. :icon_silly: Plus i like IG.

I am actually a fan of some of their stuff. I went to gamesday last year in Baltimore and will go again this year. I just think they do a lot of things ass backwards.  :icon_silly:

Bah.
I enjoy their games, and have lots invested into my armies.
I don't like some of their decisions, I think their pricing for plastic is way outrageous, but their game support is awesome.
I went to gamesday Los Angeles a couple of years ago, might hit Chicago this year, who knows.
I have too much going on with my new house purchase to want to deal with a huge army battle right now, but a skirmish level game is a nice diversion.
Ugh....  but their support for Mordheim has hit a real low, and I hear rumors "from a reliable source" that they're gonna phase out the game altogether for a cityfight version of Warhammer Fantasy.
Bah.

outright GW bashing is not welcomed..........put it that way.

i think the competition was a good idea and i hope they got paid well for it, but i'm not sure with their phot/reprographc capabilities they can make the most of the talent they had on offer for it.

Yep, sorry 'bout that.  Besides, it was off topic anyway.

I think the challenge was kinda cool in concept, and it would have been even more fun if they opened it to the general public; give folks a couple of months to get their pics in.

It wasn't that far off topic and I think I started it anyway :icon_whistling: :icon_wink:

How about a golden demon event where the third place miniature doesn't look better than the first two (anyone who's seen the "best painted blood bowl teams" from this years GD will know exactly what I mean).

Or how about they run a painting competition their staff can't enter?

Yeah, I like what they used to do, and I like a lot of what they do. I just don't like the way they're doing it now.

They seem to be getting better in some areas (White Dwarf seemed to be picking up but then seems to have gone down a bit) Doe sanyone else find using Grombrindal rather than the real editor to interject childish and irritating? Reminds me of the Marvel comics letter pages that were answered by the character...
