Seeing as the general response to our stuff so far's been positive, I thought I'd see what the verdict was on one of our old,old kits. Designed as a generic SF light scout vehicle, the moulds for this long since died but I found the masters recently and have been toying with the idea of retooling and re-releasing it.
Comments please :)

In case it's not obvious, this was designed to 25mm scale but should work with 28mm. The mini used for scale is the old GW rogue trooper...
:icon_w00t: Who did the master?
and can he do me one in 1/100? :icon_suspicious:
I think you can tell I like it.

I made that one in a long series of dinner hours, about 10 years ago :)
And anything's possible. I've made AFVs in all scales up to 1:1 over the years. Unless they've binned 'em the Smithsonian in Washington(?) have a couple of my 1:6 models on show.
Nice stuff there Geronimo. I think you should go for it.
I think thats a great model but persoanally think it should have a larger gun and turret thingy. A big chunky cannon always goes down well with the buyers :icon_w00t:

Hehe.Well it was designed as a "light" scout vehicle. IIRC to scale it's something like an 80mm railgun with a squared barrel. Nothing stopping a choice of turrets or gun cupolas, tho :)
A choice of Turrets would be ideal mate. I think that could be a great seller. Rail gun, Heavy cannon and Missile launcher turrets I think would be the way to go.
I thought it looked like a scout vehicle but I think it would look great whatever turret you popped on it.
Maybe even a Turret-less one as a troop transport?
That's a very nice looking scout vehicle there :clap2:.
At 25mm scale, I could see it fitting in well with Grymn forces.
Where are the hatches for the troops to enter the main body? I am assuming that they are between the front and rear pair of wheels? Is the vehicle designed to be a troop carrier or purely a scout / light tank?
I too would recommend a more 'heroic scale' gun barrel (it looks very modern at the moment and Sci-fi gaming is more geared towards the heroic side of things).
I'd also suggest a slight change to the side windows: At the top of the front screen there is a band of armour. I would suggest carrying the band on to go over the top of the side windows. At the moment the cockpit roof looks paper thin.
I think it would be a good idea to recast these...if you hadn't already gathered :dragon:.
Hi Inso, thanks for the comments. You're right, on that original design the hatches are between front and middle wheels, on the glacis plate. There are additional hatches on top of the cockpit and forward of the turret.
As conceived (I actually built it as a PC's vehicle for a Shadowrun campaign) the "Maverick" was purely a scout vehicle with 1-2 crew.Hence the undersized turret (room for gun mechanisms and not much else) and the oversized cockpit. The side windows are actually slightly curved towards the upper deck, the theory being that as a scout transport you'd want to be able to look up as well as all around, but I take your point about the apparent thinness of the roof deck.
All suggestions so far taken on board....when I find the time to get back to work on this I'll be posting WIPs :)
The more I look at this the more I like it.
have you seen the (hard to get hold of) stuff from DLD

the interior detail kit is an optional extra.....
Some nice ideas there for geronimo
Not seen that one. I'll be honest, I've not seen much in the past 10 years or so, been away from the hobby. But yeah, some nice details on there...
The DLD stuff is pretty good but I have a few concerns about the wheels being too big on a lot of their stuff. On the model shown, the wheels are almost touching each other.
(I prefer the Geronimo vehicle, myself :occasion14:).

It was there as an idea for doing interiors if Geronimo so desired.
Geronimos vehicle reminds me of the ferrari APC from one of the Cyberpunk/hardwired books
