Title: Duel!
Post by: cheddarmonger on May 17, 2007, 09:29:24 AM
After our past few challenges, Squigface is demanding satisfaction on the FoD.  He pm'd me a challenge to a Duel, subject, "Duel."

No set time limit (as we've alternately have had challenges meeting our deadlines).

No specific miniature(s)

The subject is Heresy vs Hasslefree Duel Diorama!  Sounds like great fun.  I have a pile of each, so I'm really looking foward to this project.

I'll be looking forward to the result. I like dioramas and duels much better than single minis. The way you can use the minis to tell a little story. As you all know I have far to many projects going for my own good but almost every single one of them is intended for interaction. I know there's no sales in that so I make sure every figure can be used on its own but I allways have the other figures in mind wether I sculpt them or not. The absolute MINIMUM is to at least mark out with a marker where an attack is going to end or what the sculpture is looking at. So hopefully they will all one way or other be suited for duels/dioramas for those who so wish.

I still love this one:

I know the painting isn't the best, but the interraction between the two miniatures is amazing.  It was an inspired choice, if you ask me!  :cm

Well, tiny red x:es aint much interaction if you ask me  :icon_wink: (that's all I get) Perhaps a textual link would work better?
Edit: OK, forgot it. Worked fine second time I tried. That is indeed a beautiful interaction between the two. Where they just used as they were or did some pose have to be converted?

I always thought he looked like he was about to get his head lopped off. I like the scene you made.

sorry, its been a rough week...  or month...

My wife decided to stir things up, so we're remodelling the family room.  That means I have to find a new painting table...  And my mini photo studio got moved to the laundry room...

Same here. I moved my mother in so that it would be easier for me to take care of her and it is taking some getting used to.
