Ive been a fan for over 15 years of the game and finaly i have my own copy, (in german, but hey)
i have to say, just picking up the box and feeling the weight to it is shocking. its heavy :)
took a look inside and was not disapointedits literally packed to bursting with minis, and game tiles. so to make a short review.
the good: everything about it perticularly the brood lord and the mini poses, the shear ammount of game tiles, and that its really really packed to the brim. on the quilaity of the minis, the pastic is a bit other than´normal for GW, but the flash lines are very small and there is very little work to clean up the minis (much better quality than the normal GW stuff)
the bad: some of the game tile sprues could have been filled up with more tiles ( 2 or 3 have massive ammounts of room still to be filled up), some of the genestealers are weak on the stands and bend easily, (perticularly on the feet and claws, one already broken just removing it from the spru),
the blips only come in 1 to 3s, (where are the 5s and 6s's?!?!), the bases are odd, and not to my taste, and alas that its a german version (cause i could not order the english)
all in all im very happy having the game at last, the price was ok too 80 € for what you get is awesome. so id rate it a 8 outa 10, why not higher? well all the good points dont make up for the feew bad ones, an lil more work and i think it would have been better.
Now i just have to find the rules in English:)

I'm loathe to fork out for it, though, since I've already got a couple of copies each of the previous editions. Do you think it would be worth it?
honestely, if you have copies of the first 2 dont bother, it would be only the minis you would want. this is the first time i bought the game, but if i had had a previous version i wouldnt have bothered. that being said, the terminator minis are REally REally!!! nice, but not worth the price of the whole box.
and im sure looking at the forums out there you will be able to adapt the 1st and second versions very esily to what you already own. and thats the main reason i say no. its nice to own the 3rd Ed but you already own everything if you have the first 2 excluding rules, and those wont be hard to get in a few months time anyway just reading the forums.
If you have a moment please post some pics of the minis. I've never seen them.
