Title: Great. Big. Pointy. Teeth!!
Post by: Caerban on August 24, 2009, 05:46:35 PM
I like to litter my surrounds with inspirational junk and stuff when I'm sculpting or drawing or even just because it's nice to have inspirational junk and stuff littered around. I've always wanted to get hold of some stuff from these guys (http://www.boneclones.com/) after encountering their site for the first time a few years ago, I can spend ages drooling over my computer screen at it. Well I finally got the money together to order a couple of things and they arrived (after the painful sting of customs and Parcelforce handling fees). They are awesome to a level of awesome rarely seen on this planet. A quick photo of my goodies with my pudgy little digits for scale:

I plumped for the Smilodon fatalis sabre (http://www.boneclones.com/KO-212.htm) and my  favourite of the Meg teeth (http://www.boneclones.com/KO-008-3.htm). I heartily recommend this place to everyone, they're well worth the prices. I've got a couple of real fossil Meg teeth and have handled a real Smilodon sabre and it's shockingly difficult to tell the difference between these resin copies and the real thing.
This guy (http://www.boneclones.com/CN-01.htm) is next on my list!
And mebbe this (http://www.boneclones.com/AM-06.htm).

Nice one :) Can't go wrong with BoneClones, I've bought some of their stuff. Snuurg's got this fella (http://www.boneclones.com/BC-018A.htm#Tarpit) and also a lifesize velociraptor skull I grabbed him as a pressie. I've got a few real teeth and claws (and some footprints!) as well as resin copies of raptor claw and phalanges assemblies.

You can never have too many fossiles  :occasion14:
