That was quick. Not even a thread in the general rpg discussion area to check for interest.

Do you mean that:

1: It's a game about playing investigative vampire hunter types.
2: It's a game about playing vampire hunters.
3: It uses World of Darkness "I'm an evil depressed vampire and I hate myself" vampire rules.

Some information would be useful.

hi Balgin,  its a local vampire game ive been running over the last year (7 players), we needed a place where i could moderate posts and such, and mike was kind enough to extend me the privalage. (oh and the players have choosen #3  :icon_wink:)

its a bit of a power game, (and with power gamed npcs and critters ) as well a a introductory game to the WOD and was brought about because no one in the city wanted to play with a english speaker. but were quite happy to play with an english speaking ST.

That's alright, from the tone of your original post I got the impression it was welcoming new board members rather than inviting existing ones to join. Just thought it was worth checking what kind of game you'd be running anyway as it might be fun to keep an eye on.

the core rules for 3rd revised, and its been modified a bit to make more sense, mainly getting rid of contacts and such and adding in the Influence system from the larp,  mainly there are 2 players that handle the rules and i tell the story, as i wanted to concentrate on the plots and not worry about if rules fit or not, the rules players keep me honest and oddly it works well with everyone haveing alot of fun (sometimes). the only time i step in is when there is a disagreement with the rules or a rule makes no sense. .

but how i ST is pretty much like a boxer at times, left , left, jab left, RIGHT! with alot of small plots circling a few main plots. we go for a few sessions where the characters get pushed to the limits as there is no time to recharge willpower or spend xp, and then there are weeks of tranquil character building and reflection. there is always something bad happening and plots fallow set paths until the characters get involved or the plot fades into nothing or explodes into a problem, i cant give you details but at the moment there are 2 main plots and 9 sub plots all causeing havoc, the characters have to pick and deal with one at a time or take on a few and hope they dont over strech.  the best way i could give you an example of the style of role play is that once a situation happens i tend to give out the info and step back, most times the players take over and role play the sceen out with me adding bits , and during fights if the party is split, those not active get to play the bad guys as i set back and wait for the results. i try and become the hub of a wheel mostly, important, usefull and nessasary, but not there.
