Just so all the Dms know, id be happy to take over characters that have no players at the moment, until the players either come back or something else is decided about the characters.
As far as I know all of Fabian's and Alex's characters are available.
In Dark Awakenings there are currently two characters missing players (Ivor's been missing a player for a long time). Here's a brief synopsis for you:
On a remote island there is a small monastery.
The monks of the monastery have been excavating ancient elven ruins.
They discovered some strange items and hired a magician from the mainland to come and study their strange discoveries.
The PC's were the magician's bodyguards/escort.
When they arrived at the island the boat dropped them off. It'll be back in 3 days to pick them up but then it won't come again for another 4-6 months (so it's an isolated "locked room" adventure but there's also a timeline).
Arriving at the monastery they discovered that all the monks had been slain (save for the abbot who had miraculously survived). After going off to explore the island (and leaving the wizard behind to study artifacts) they were eventualy surprised when one of the dead bodies got up and attacked them. When they got back to the monastery all the dead bodies were zombified and attacking people. That's about where it is now (and Rogan the cleric was actualy left behind at the monastery and almost had to face 24 zombies at once but fortunately he hadn't dragged all the bodies out into the courtyard yet :)).
So the missing characters:
Ivor is a gnome wizard with a mechanical gadget backpack. All of his spells are actualy him using gadgets (so his backpack has kind of spidery arms with things like a detect magic crystal lense on the end of one, an invisibility powder dispenser, there's a flamejet nozzle and various other things). Basicaly we haven't gone into too much detail about it but whenever he casts a spell it's using a function of his mechanical device, either a separate arm or an inovative new use for an existing one. The details are left up to the player to embelish. Ivor gets very engroised in what he's doing and can often miss out on his peripheral perception due to being fascinated by something.
Alarian is a swordsman who's a bit sulky and moody. I'm not sure of his exact personality so you might want to contact Fabian about that.
There's also a bit of space in Night Below where I could squeeze in a new player (it'd be a tight fit but Night Below's more sort of open format so new characters can easily join most of the time).
There's also a character in Eyeolas' game who's blatantly Number Six from The Prisoner (but for some reason Fabian wanted to make him selfish and evil instead of obsessed with freedom and irresponsibility).
the DA sounds intresting, i think that would be a good start to see if i really can fit in with the group, my preferance would be for the swordman as id just be coming in and its less of a chance to muck things up acting out of character, or making silly mistakes..

Fabian has definatelly backed out of the games that he was in as a character. Life got a bit too busy for him. It would be good to see you in the game Hawkins. Balgin should be along in a bit.

You're kidding, right? It's 7.37 pm. Thursday night is "watch telly from 7.30-9pm" night (although now that that's followed by Heroes at 9, or next week's episode at 10.30, and I'm watching the 10.30's because it's more convenient for what times other family members want to watch stuff on the gogglebox).
So I won't be posting anything soon this evening (although give it 90 minutes and I might be able to post stuff while my computer's running it's weakly thursday night virus scan while I'm watching telly (the virus scan tends to overrun so there's a lull).
im going to need to know where the copy of the character is hiding, or be given a copy, and any tips form the other players would be appretiated on how they precive Alarian, or how hes acted towards them, ive looked at most of the posts from Fabian and i have a good idea of who the character is, but any extra info helps.

Hi guys,
Maybe you couldn't notice it because of the recent host problems, but I can't visit the boards as often as I used to, because of my new job that has the strangest schedule. I feel like you'll have to wait for me in our games, and I don't like this idea. I think the best thing to do is to have a pause with my characters, both in the Reclaiming Ralgron and Night Below games. I'm sorry to drop the games like this, I hope I can come back as soon as things are a little bit more calm. Sorry again...
