Entry must be based on a Black scorpion Alien figure :P
Scarecrows come's from ZO so they are alien's too you know... :icon_whistling:

i've ordered my copy of the mini. and judging by adam's service i should have it all prepped primed and probably painted by the end of the week!

Conversions would be good I think, as long as you can still tell its the original miniature. (But I ain't running the contest)
...but you took the words right out of my mouth so it is fine. All of the Global Mods helped me put the contest together, so feel free to chime in about anything. Also if any of you want to take the lead while I am still playing around with what I want the forum to be like... feel free.

Got mine at Hammerhead, but he is at the back of the line for painting due to more importnant paint jobs and other almost finished comps.

There is plenty of time. The contest isnt over until march 10th. All you have to do is have pictures ready by then.

i have to have a reason to finish stuff nowadays, i have too many things conspiring against me to stop me painting. (like the son, the daughter, being knackered, not being able to see, low motivation, the wife.........i could go on... :toothy5:)
i have a hard time with continuity these days so i i can get something sorted in a few days then quite often i doesn't show any difference in quality to something i have spent 3 weeks on.

If I don't finish something in the same week I start it then generally it doesn't get done, I have a small queue of half finished minis forming...

That happened to me too and it was that long since i had started them and i had improve that much that all i could do was strip them... :icon_tears:

Mine showed up a couple of days ago! All I have to do is finish up my Femme Fatale entries, then I'll get started. Also, his companions for a diorama are on their way from Heresy (I hope)

Also for Bodhi and all the other sculptors out there. I will be having a CH sculpting contest as well. We can discuss that once this comp is finished.
The camera has made a difference to my pic's, they are not 100% the same as the figure (it's better) but they are very close to it.
Did them so no one will know they were taken by me. :icon_suspicious:
Used different feature's to take picture's of the same view and picked the closest match to him and i changed the background to brilliant pink... :icon_w00t:

I'll have mine finished by tea time tomorrow (around 18-00hrs). I've done the cloak and loin-cloth and have base coated the skin. The base is done as well (only the obligatory re-touch required).
I don't mess about when I get a mini to paint that is as good as this one :icon_twisted:.

I saw the challenge and have answered it...it will have to wait until I have the mini but I'll give it a shot (although I'm not too into painting competitions...I prefer painting lots to a good standard rather than one to a high standard).

Hey guys I have entries from 6 people. The entries will be posted without names just a number and the pictures. I will do it in a new thread and each persons pictures will be in its own post to avoid confusion (So be warned I am ignoring the no double post rule). Please wait until I make all the posts before commenting on anything. I will post a poll and each person will get one vote for what they think is the best. We should be able to figure out the rest from there. I will leave the poll open for a week from today. I am doing the thread right now.......
