Had this one sitting on mys helf for a while, and had half painted it, was unhappy with the way it was going so I stripped it and started again.
Really pleased with him now, gone just the way I imagined, and may just have to use him as my HQ character now!!!

Nice to have something turn out more like the idea I had, than usual, LOL!!
Very nice :) I can offer no comments or suggestions as he is simply lovely! :clap2:
How did you get the stubble? TS? Or something else?
Ta.
Codex grey thinned to look like milk, dabbed it on giving several thin coats, the added Fortress grey highlights still thinned but not as thin, then a very slight Space Wolves grey highlight, and then washed a very thin wash of Chaos black under the nose, and under the bottom lip.
Bit of work, but worth it I think.
A friend of mine put me off TS, he tried it for stubble and it fetched the flesh he'd painted off.
Whether he had a bad tub I don't know.
Whats TS? Very nice work (as usual) Bruenor :icon_wink:
Tamiya Smoke.
Thanks Mike.
I should have figured that out (I have the stuff too).

Thanks Bruenor - something else I'm going to have to try! :)
I find I need to think TS with a little of either Tamiya or Revell acrylic thinner (water doesn't work as well for some reason) otherwise it is a bit of a paint stripper. Same with TCR and the other clears.
Not a problem mate, glad I could help.
Hope you noticed I wasn't brave enough to give him the stubble of a shaved head, I left it proper bald, LOL.

Tamiya Smoke.
Thanks Mike.
Basicaly a different kind of black ink (more sort of dark grey or something). Apparently it's really good for doing metals. The PP literature was pretty obsessed with this one pot of paint until they started producing their own range.

He wouldn't have looked nearly as hard, if you had :)
I know what Tamiya Smoke is, just for some odd reason I couldnt figure it out as TS.
Maybe TCS, would have rung that beel Mike, like TCR.
Funny tho, when I was a kid there was a slot racing set called TCR Total Control Racing, so I was foxed when I first read TCR, LOL!!
