Title: GW Dwarf Lord
Post by: Toosh on October 23, 2007, 06:29:09 AM
Hi everyone, new arrival here!  Just nipped over from FOD at the request of Custom Hobby.

Loved this mini as soon as I saw it. His pose makes me think he is contemplating his life and maybe he is tired, in the autumn of his years....

Figure made first cut at Games Day 2006 - got my first certificate and badge  :icon_wink:

Thanks for looking

:welcome: Welcome to the CHF, Toosh.

Excellent Dwarf :D  Lots of things I could go on about, but he's simply great :)

Are those leaves the same ones you've used on your DoD?

I forget what its like being an egg.  I'm enjoying being juvenile right now :)

I forgot to ask if the raven came with the dwarf?

It looks like a scrud*jack raven but I could be wrong on that.

Good stuff Toosh. It's a nice sculpt TBH.

I'd be interested to see what you can do with an Enigma dwarf...

Oooh!  Gigers I really like those - by that I mean the ones you painted!! I love the first one, he looks so grungy and really chaotic and the face on the other one is really cool!  I voted on both :icon_wink:

Now I'm going to check out the other link :D

EDIT: Omg!! Gigers, why did you have to show me that site?!  There are some awesome models there - I love Thovin the dwarf and some of the demons. This is going to be expensive  :icon_eek:

If you want some of their stuff it's available from Battlefield Berlin, I'd be happy to split an order...PM me if you like. Historex also do it but BB have some other smaller manufacturers stuff that I'd like.

Lovely piece Toosh.  I am in 2 minds about the new Dwarfs, sometimes I like them but most times I dont.  I have all my Marauder Dwarfs on a top shelf so I see them a lot, compared to those the new ones dont do it for me.  Not 100% sure but think that is by Felix Panigua or whattever his name is (Avatars or War Dwarf Hero Figure sculpter) and his stuff seems to be the best out of the new bunch.  You've done it justice anyhow  :clap2:

oooh might be an idea, cos I know Avicenna is interested in Enigma too, so we were thinking of doing an order  :icon_cool:

@Perv - thanks for the comments :D

And it's blatantly the Heroquest dwarf with a sword instead of his really cool axe.

Technicaly it's a better sculpt but it doesn't look so good.
