No battle map for this one folks. It starts with a surprise round. Raoul and Alarian start standing next to each other and the rock pool is a move action away from them. The rest of the group can generaly get to them with a run (or two rounds of more careful approach).
Initiative:
Raoul: 24
Alarian: 17
Others will be added in after the surprise round.
Raoul attempts a grapple, Alarian is flat footed so makes no attack of opportunity.
Raoul's touch attack is 12, since Alarian is flat footed that's a hit. Alarian suffers a shocking 6 points of subdual damage! Alarian is surprised (but now no longer flat footed. I'm going to rule that Raoul drags Alarian to the pool before anyone else is able to react (maybe they're shocked because it's so unexpected of either of their companions). Raoul's grapple is 18, Alarian's is 15 so Raoul has successfuly initiated the grapple and has got a solid firm grip on Alarian.
Round 1:
Raoul: 24
Alarian: 17
Rogan: 17
Ivor: 16
Kiaphas: 10
Aurum: 6
Raoul attempts to (grapple) force Alarian to move with him into the pool. Raoul's grapple roll is 19 and Alarian's is 16 so Alarian is forced into the pool (where they both stand).
Next Alarian attempts to break free of the grapple. His grapple check results in an 11 whilst Raoul's totals in at 15 so ALarian fails to break free from his grip.
Everyone else may now act (but don't expect more than two or three of you to be able to get to them).
Kiaphas intends to attempt a grapple, and call out to the priest: "He's posessed! See if you can turn it out of him!"
Aurum runs over he should have been closest and tries to restrain Raul.
Do it, release me! You can rend him, tear him - No! He is my friend! Alarian shouts in his head. He tries to escape once again.
Hearing the commotion, Rogan turns to see the two grappling as Kiaphas shouts out that Raoul is possessed. Anger turning his face ugly, he strides towards the two, attempts to take hold of Raoul's shoulder and begins to call out in a powerful voice.
"In the name of the Healing Lady, be gone from this man and leave him be! He is under Her protection now!"
(Attempts to touch and casts Protection from Evil on Raoul)
Willpower save for Raoul to break out of it this round: 14. That's not enough.
Kiaphas attempts to join the grapple. Touch attack 16. Assist : 19. So Alarian's 16 becomes an 18 this round, still not quite enough (yet). Rogan strides angrily towards them but doesn't quite arrive yet. Aurum rushes over to help out as well. Touch attack: 23 (yeah, that was enough). Assist 12. That brings Alarian up to a 20 and he breaks free.
Hmmm, so Raoul now has Kiaphas and Aurum grappling him. OK, next step - will Prot from Evil work? If not, anyone got dispel magic or remove curse?
Probably removing him from the vicinity may work as well.
Aurum continues to assist Alarian and grapple with Raul. "We need to restrain him!"
Kiaphas too is continuing to grapple.
I actualy need to give Raoul subdual damage for the two people who already joined the grapple. Now that they've broken his grip they need to initiative one upon him (I'll handle that in a bit).
Okay, so round 2:
Raoul: 24
Alarian: 17
Rogan: 17
Ivor: 16
Kiaphas: 10
Aurum: 6
Raoul lunges for Alarian once more. Since this is an unarmed attack and he does not have improved unarmed attack, improved snatch or whatever the grapple feats are, it provokes an attack of opportunity from both Kiaphas and Aurum and since an attack of opportunity is any kind of attack you want it to be, they each opt to initiate a grapple (although Kiaphas might otp to assist Aurum's attack roll instead but that probably won't be needed).
So, Kiaphas' touch attack is 8 so he doesn't manage to get a grip. This would normaly also provoke an attack of opportunity from Raoul but he's got tunnel vision at the moment and he's ignoring everyone but Alarian so he won't make an aoopps this time round.
Aurum's touch attack, on the other hand, is a 21. His grapple check is 13 against Raoul's 18 (nasty dice but it's +7 against +6 opposed) so he doesn't quite manage to get a grip. Aurum does cause Raoul to suffer 5 more subdual damage 'though from rough handling him.
Now Raoul attacks Alarian (who is entitled to make an attack of opportunity if he wants, probably to fend off his atatcker). Let us know what you'll do Fabes and I'll be able to update this battle thread again.
Alright, so I get an AoO... I'll intiate a grapple - we all need to establish a pin so we can drag him away from here. So here's what I'll try to do -if do get a grapple with the AoO, I'll delay my action until Aurum's counts so we can all drag Raul away. Alarian will shout to both Kiaphas and Aurum that that's what they should do.
Aurum continues his course of action and goes for the pin
Right so.... Alarian's attack of opportunity provokes an attack of opportunity from Raoul (who isn't ignoring Alarian and takes it, making a grapple attempt). Since Alarian hasn't got combat reflexes basicaly Raoul goes first.
Raoul's aoopp grapple attempt touch attack: 8 (he failed to get a grip and failed to disrupt Alarian's grapple).
Alarian's aoopp grapple attempt touch attack: 7 (the online dice roller seems stuck on two's today).
So, Raoul's actual normal grapple: 18 (got him). 4 subdual damage to Alarian.
Opposed grapple checks: 12 for Alarian, 12 for Raoul. He doesn't manage to get a grip.
Now we have Alarian's actual grapple attempt: 16 (got him) 4 subdual damage to Raoul as well.
Opposed: 23 for Raoul, 21 for Alarian, no successful hold initiated.
Wow. Now we move on to everyone else (finaly).
Thinking about it I feel bad for anyone who has to wrestle with Aurum, with his spiked gauntlets and razor sharp edges/spikes his armor. Aurum continues to try to restrain him and pull him away.
Wow! That was mega! I have this image of the two of them with their hands wrapped around one another's throats! Too bad Alarian is the second string warrior of the party!
Ha! I only just noticed that the two of them have all the same feats (Except Raoul has Weapon Focus).

You swine. I'll have to work out if any of the damage Aurum did was lethal (and reroll loads of it since it probably uses different dice now :().
Bugger! We have to get him away from here! Anyone have sleep, hold person? What about Alex and his plucky gnome? We need some input from him before we proceed, I feel.

I am surprised you forgot he had them. I made him one hell of a tough front line fighter, despite the class being intended as a second line. I am also going to switch his power aura so he gets +1 on his attack rolls.
I'll remember them next time they're needed. No point in making the aoopp fest any more complicated than it already was :).
I can just take off the gauntlets so I dont hurt a team mate, but taking off the armor would take too long. Plus his strength will help with restraining him.
Okay, so bungling on, that was only Raoul & Alarian's actions (yeah, all those aoopps and stuff were free stuff).
So next up we have:
Rogan: 17
Ivor: 16
Kiaphas: 10
Aurum: 6
I'll assume Rogan prepares to bless and purify him once he's subdued.
Ivor probably watches (where is Alex at the moment?)
So Kiaphas and Aurum may now try to grapple once more. Here we go again......
Believe me, it all goes a lot quicker when people can roll dice simultaneously.
Kiaphas' touch attack = 21 (he does 3 subdual damage)
Kiaphas' grapple roll is a 10 and Raoul's resistance is a 10.
Aurum's touch attack roll is 27 (natural 20), he deals 6 subdual damage and fails to deal damage with the spikes (spike attack roll 9)
Aurum's grapple check to grip: 15, Raoul's check to resist: 7
Aurum has got Raoul restrained.
At the end of this Raoul gets his second willpower save to snap out of it due to the distractions: 11 (nowhere near even close :().
Fortunately there is a random duration on the vision, and he'll come to his senses when it ends. Unfortunately the willpower save for him to snap out before it finishes is 23 and his willpower save of -1 ain't going to make it unless he gets a natural 20 (ouch).
However he has taken another 9 subdual damage. 4 more and he'll be too tired to struggle. 5 more and he'll be out cold.
Aurum will continue to hold him until it passes.
Okay, so now we have Round 3:
Raoul: 24
Alarian: 17
Rogan: 17
Ivor: 16
Kiaphas: 10
Aurum: 6
Because he's pinned Raoul's options are somewhat limited. He may:
attack Aurum
try to break free
attempt to move towards Alarian (dragging the dwarf with him)
Considering the fact that he's ignoring Aurum I think he'll either try to break free or simply attempt to move towards his foe (since he doesn't even notice that he's held that much).
I'll let keeper decide on this one (surely he's due a little control by now).
Alarian takes free 5' step and withdraws away from Raoul.
I think "move towards his foe" is the thing that seems most in keeping with the whole situation!
Raoul's grapple check is a mere 12 whilst Aurum's is a 24. He's not getting any closer :(. So now we're assuming Rogan's going to wade in, right?
"Brother would you like to help me here?" Aurum continues to hold him and not let him get any closer. He tries to move he further away.
You seem upset that Raoul isn't choking Alarian, Mr B! Anyway, Alarian should be about 30 feet away now.

I'm trying to decide if people should be slipping up, falling down and bashing their knees and elbows more. I've been using standard grappling rules and not applying the "fighting knee deep to waist deep in water" rules on top of that (I couldn't be bothered to look them up but considered improvising - after all, all that subduaul damage has got to come from somewhere, right?)
Good point, it is a good thing Aurum is at home in the water.

Yeah but does he have any ranks in the balance skill?
If he falls over the person he is grappling with is in more danger than he is
Notifications are screwing up again. Kiaphas keeps on attempting to grapple, if successful, attempting to pin.
Okay, so I'm moving this along a bit.
Rogan's attack roll: 24 (natural 20), he deals 2 points of subdual damage (really that should've been an assistance roll but it actualy works slightly better this way).
Ivor spectates. Kiaphas joins in and causes a further 3 subdual damage at which point Raul collapses unconscious under the weight of three people, dragging them all down with him into the pool with a big splosh.
