I finally got some time to work on a mini. This is a Teraph from Privateer Press. Still need to attach the head and tail.
I am stuck for today because I forgot the base color at home. Grr.

very nicely painted although cant say i like the fig. Maybe when head goes on I will. Think its the front legs i dont like...they make it look odd to me....
The picture angle does not show it well but the fig has 6 limbs. I hope to finish this over the next couple of day (I hope)
The problem with the tainted legion is that they're like Cryx: loads of "lifestyle gamers" buy them and then never play with them (as opposed to Cygnar which nobody buys, let alone plays with). We might be finaly getting a Legion player at the club (to go with our regular Circle (me) and Skorne (another regular guy) players and all the Troll players who just play 40k or Urban War instead and occassionaly give their trolls an outing once in a blue moon).
Nice paint job 'though (at least you didn't have to stick twelve tiny little seperate spieks onto a bloody warpwolf 'though you lucky sod :p).
Looking good so far Dargrin. Keep us posted.
Looks incredible, the whites are outstanding.
that is some stunning colour
dead impressive :clap2:
He should do a 'painting whites tute' :icon_wink:
Had to clean the drool off the keyboard after seeing this, that's looking excellent. :clap2:
Thanks guys. Not much to say about the fig right now. Tell you what, if anyone else is interested I could try and arrange something when I am done here. Let me know.
i'm thinking that will really benefit froma semi gloss varnish after you finish the rest of the mini. the whites look really good as do the spikes on the back. a semi gloss varnish would help accentuate the extra tones in the white.
Give it that extra pop without overstating it. :bludrgn2:
Little more work done today. Touched up this side and attached the tail.

I like the look of the bones/spikes
Little bit more work done. I have a head cold that just won't quit.

Looks like it is coming along well. Have you done any more with it?
Awesomeness. :icon_w00t:
Thanks for the kind words guys.
I have not been feeling well this week so I have been doing nothing but stare at it for the past week seeing all the flaws it has. I thing the worst has past for now. I hope to get to it real soon because there is a contest I would like to enter once this is done.
Sounds good to me :)
Never trip on the stairs with a Teraph..:Doh!:

OUCH, looks like pinning, gluing and touch up work is next on the menu.
Poor Teraph... :icon_tears:
ooh, that sucks.
that's what I hate about metal mini's vs plastic.
It's very hard to keep metal glued together

I guess it doesn't help that they fell down 18 or so steps either :icon_cool:
I can't tell from the pics. Was it pinned? If you pin them well it will hold up much better.

I didn't think that I would need to on the tail and head because I felt the weight of the tail/head wasn't that much campared to the surface area the locktite could adhere too. The secoundary legs would have been locked into a mold of green stuff when I got the base going. Goes to show that pinning is definately nessessary even though you don't think you need it. Hey, the leg and arm held up well. :laughing6:
I got used to pinning everything that wasn't to small a long time ago just to avoid issues (the kids knocking things around).
As long as you found all the bits, that's the main thing. :icon_wink:
