The structure itself is made from several different elements. The gate and walls are made from blue foam. The main tower is made from a Games Workshop Warhammer Fortress tower, modified by having the top cut off and replaced, and the addition of Mordheim Windows. All other buildings are 1/4" foamcore, covered in balsa and Woodland Scenics water effects. The roof is individually cut shingles made from sheet styrene. The windows are either scratchbuilt from balsa, or silver buckles from scrud*booking. The street is from christmas village, as are the large barrels and crates. All flock and long grass is woodland scenics, the stones are carved blue foam.

well thanks for the kind words folks. Paniting oddly enough, is about the least time consuming stage of the whole thing, and generally be done in a day or two.
Let's see, the poo was made from balls of dried glue. The mushrooms were made the same way, just cut in half and glued to pins. The smaller mushrooms are just painted pins.
The wood chips are just wood chips left from construction, I sweep em and keep em.
The rolled up canopies and the bucket are from Tamiya, but you can also use the cap from dead tacky glues as a bucket as well. you can also cut he end off of a dead tacky glue for another bucket.
The samller barrels and crates are from woodland scenics, and I would advise against buying them because they are moulded horribly. The large barrels and crates are from the Michael's christmas village, and are pretty easy to deal with. The barrels are just glued on and snap right off, the crates had to be cut from a resin base and were a little trickier.

That is a good deal, those same barrels at my hobby shop run for $13.50, that's more than twice that.
The most time consuming task in the painting is the wood timbers, because it is a mtter of base cote and then drybrush on intricate pieces at many different angles. As for the rest tthough, all of the plaster was done before, so I could be sloppy when painting it. The stonework is all a base cote of near black green, two cotes of drybrushed lighter greys, a small bit of brown around the base, and a light cote of goblin green for moss.
The roof is all just two step, base cote with rotten flesh for details. Any weathering on the walls or the roof was done by just smudging black or goblin green on with my fingertip.
That and when the paint starts going on, the piece starts to come alive, so you tend to get a bit more work done on it.
Outstanding and like the folks say, it's all in the cool little details.
